You are always good at the photo side no question about that, but the presentation was second to none, you were relaxed and having fun and it came over.

Always enjoy your vids, but your British accent makes my USA ears strain to understand what pearls of wisdom you offer. Thank you for producing the vids - your time and effort are appreciated.

I know, I need to work on my accent.

@@StewartWoodArt Please don't feel you ought to, it's great as is! We wouldn't ask an American to change their accent to be more understandable to a British person; nor should there be an expectation vice versa. The commenter above should simply broaden their experience with more accents in which English is spoken, rather than complaining about their ignorance in a KZbin comment and trying to make it your problem.

My macro gear is Canon EOS450D, Tamron 60mm/f2 Macro 1:1 and a bunch of Marumi DHG macro lenses. Works fine.

Oohh great video. I’ve got a 550D which was my first camera but shoot on an R6 now. I’ve been wanting to set up something for my friend so will try the nifty 50 and Raynox 250 on the 550d as I have both in my kit ❤🙌🏼

In your previous video you mentioned that you were getting the Olympus 100mm macro, so I am eagerly awaiting a video of that in action. Cheers

Just fyi you can get focus peaking on that camera. It works with Magic Lantern and it is really easy to use and free. 😊

I tried magic lantern once, it locked up my camera so I’m not one who promotes it.

Hi Stewart! It's good to see you using the Raynox 250, because it's what I've used up to yet. I am hoping to pick up a macro lens from the Photography Show at the NEC in a couple of weeks. Incidentally, will you be there?

I'll most likly be walking around the floor on the Saturday and Tuesday.

I just found your channel and really like your videos! Thanks for that! Question: What do you think about the diffusor that shows up in the eyes of the insects? Somehow I don't like that.
@StewartWoodArt5 ай бұрын
I love it!

I wish you would do a review of the AK diffuser. The reason being is because here in the US, the AK is less expensive and less shipping costs for us. The new versions are flat and they have some other features like built in above and below reflectors and raynox holder. I have not bought one yet for my Olympus/godox v350 setup and no one has done a real comparison. Maybe the AK guy will send you one for free.
@StewartWoodArt7 ай бұрын
I’d be willing to review the AK diffuser but he would need to contact me to get the ball rolling.

Steward, I would like to know when using the Raynox, will the distance between the lens and subject be reduced greatly ? I'm afraid that when I use it, the lens will be too near the subject and scare it away before I could even get the focus lock. TIA
@StewartWoodArt8 ай бұрын
it is reduced but ive not notice the insect being more scared than before.

Do you know who is making these crafty bells diffusers now? I remember they had shut shop by the time I went to purchase them and ended up getting local diffuser for macro(its not as convenient and light as crafty bells one)
@StewartWoodArt9 ай бұрын
I don't believe anyone is making them now.
@ChaitanyaShukla25039 ай бұрын
@@StewartWoodArt thats a shame, hopefully someone will pick up their design and start making similar diffusers(Pope shield does have light weight diffusers but they are borderline scammy operation) once again as AK/Cygnus/Beetel all are quite heavy and inconvinient for use in field during heavy monsoons in western ghats.
