Change of pace. Getting intricate detailing underway. Around the liners, deck top side mast post support, windlass. Thisis the second blog where G10 was used as a structural component. Making plans totravel to NZ. Janet get well.

That windlass mount engineered to a point I reckon if'n ya needed to you could attach the anchor chain to a sky hook and lift the boat clean out of the water.

Boat is almost entirely 20 and 30mm h80 closed cell foam which has inherent insulation properties.

😮 you WILL find that chain does and will fall on it self causing it to become 'jammed' when paying out. You'll see, soon enough.

Would freak me out to reuse material on such an important part. Would want all virgin material that I knew I laminated and wouldn’t delaminated from being outside for 20 years

The offcuts are supremely tight laminates and will be under significant compression in any case. All are sandwiched with epoxy and topped with 16mm virgin g10 , all sitting on a 1mtr tall compression post.I am certain it will be fine.Rossco
