We just 'a door' your work. Stowage is always at a premium on a sailboat as 'stuff' will expand to fill every available space, no matter how big! I removed the cabinet knobs because they were always snagging our clothes as we shimmied by, Brass 'Clam Shell' pulls worked out much better... 🤟

Being a cabinet maker most of my life my question about the door inserts once you add the clear coat will you have the clearance you need and seeing how ive never worked with Australian oak will it swell in a humid or wet environment where the doors will stick or worse not be able to open or close them. I know in our wet environment here in oregon u.s.a. i have to completely seal all surfaces of the wood or our oak will swell from just the humidity of the air. I learned the hard way not to make my cabinet doors or even drawers to tight until i left enough room for the wood swelling from humidity or moisture in a damp environment. A couple coats of a good wood sealer thats had time to soak into the wood even on the surface you wont see and sanded off is good insurance against the possibility the wood may swell once its exposed to high humidity or wet damp weather.

Looks great,my only concern would be those sharp corners on the wood top at the first of the video. It wont be a problem for adults if they bang into the corner but being a great grandfather with a couple little guys that dont know the meaning of walking they run every where id be afraid of one of them whacking thier forehead into one of those sharp corners. I guess if youve got rambunctious little ones on board you could make a bumper or pad to cover the corners while they are running about the boat.

Hi Ross , up here in Queensland there’s a place called Canungra. There are heaps of platypus. I go out there quite a few times and watch them. You have to be absolutely quiet and you can watch them. Looking around for food it’s so incredible anyway keep up the good work. Good to see your sister-in-law has come to Australia. Hope she enjoys it while she’s here goes home and tells people what a wonderful country Australia is , Cliff from Logan City Queensland Australia 🇦🇺

Why didn’t you use screws and plugs to attach the trim? You know you’re gonna have to take it back off at some point. Epoxy will make that horribly destructive IMO.
