i’d like to see a video on how to get the most depth out of a photo with any lens. or the different looks a camera gives you depending on what time of day it is or weather conditions! those would be great to see from a pros perspective.

@@capturingthemachine sooooo like this. i know you can shoot at 1.2 or 1.4 to get some depth. but with different focal lengths you have to be a certain distance. that’s the part i haven’t figured out yet. i get lucky a lot of times. and how you have to have certain amount of light and the subject can’t be too close to a wall etc. Basically i’m trying to figure out how i can get subject separation every single time. no matter time of day, nor the angle besides shooting at a shallow depth of field all the time. hopefully that makes sense lol.

Piss me off - the latest PHOTOSHOP update no longer has the geometry panel for RAW images - how do I get the older version back??

in Adobe Camera Raw? That's a pain - you can usually have older versions. I have 2023 versions of Adobe Illustrator and InDesign because of extremely annoying font support crimes Adobe has done 😭

@@capturingthemachine yeah, they have removed the transform tool also - I shoot a lot of real estate thus these are essential tools during my image editing/creation process. This past week has been extremely frustrating. However, after a much searching, I finally found the transform / geometry panel under the crop icon in the RAW panel....just got lucky!!! I am seriously looking for alternative software solutions - Adobe is becoming a big pain in the ass - the CC membership is too expensive and Adobe has too many regulations associated with their products. I wish they would simply go back to the old method whereby you simply purchased the software you needed outright....I am paying close to 100$ CA a month, and four fifths of the software I have no use for. I tried to downsize my plan to just include, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere , Photoshop and After Effects but was told I could not - apparently, I must stay with my current package?? - c'est la vie.... Definitely will be looking for some alternatives, this after thirty years actively supporting Adobe.
