Car Bed Paint Project

Could you please list the materials you used? I want to refinish my son's car bed as well but not sure what to do about the big scratches on it before I start and I'm not sure what paints are best for a project like this.. and the prep you used to clean it up?

Sure I used dupli-color prep spray grease and wax remover to clean the plastic before painting with a basic primer. I used rust oleum primer spray paint. And any paint you use is ok I didn’t use any specific type just picked the color I like. Just make sure to lay down at least 3 good coats of primer to make the color you use come out looking really clean and stand out. Make sure you also lay down 3 good coats of color as well. It should come out looking really good. For the scratches I didn’t do anything to fix them the primer I used filled the deep scratches really well. But to remove any deep scratches I would use a good flat metal file. Good luck with the project and I hope this list helps. I appreciate you taking the time to view my video.

Thank you!!! Also did your blue one have a toy storage under the hood? Mine does but I'm trying to figure out if I can put hinges on it so my son does smash his fingers or drop the hood on his head lol

No, my sons car bed did not have the hood for toy storage. I wish it did we had to buy him a semi truck power wheel just for him to store his toys lol. Hope your project for your little one turns out nice. Thanks again for watching.

I used about 2 1/2 cans of primer and and 3 cans of blue paint
