I can only echo what you say about a lack or Aussie car camping videos. Fab content! Thanks Kristie.

I've carcamped many times in many different vehicles in Australia and long term in UK. Be mindful of the weight on roof. Must include all weights, even racks and mounting gear. Enjoy 👍 PS. There's nothing better to cut rubber / foam / latex etc than a bread knife! Jackal is a small dog yeah? That's a lot of wasted space for storage etc if he really doesn't need all that much.

Definitely agree 🙋♀️🙏🏻

You did a much better job on your foam mattress fitout than I did! I need to make some adjustments, I think. So many helpful hints in your video. Thanks.

I used a serated bread knife but use whatever you come up with

I agree with you Kristine. I have a RAV4 I cut my mattress straight and fit a large esky beside where you put your dogs bed. I am going to plastic drawers for clothes, put them on bed while travelling and then on passenger seat if I sleep in the car. One advantage to my cut is I can reach down to the floor if I need something without getting out of bed. It's a great life. Your videos are great.

Hi Kristie, Roof racks definitely give so many more options. The rubber for mattress costs an arm and a leg down here in happy Melbourne. Just a thought, have you thought of edging your plywood with either tape or even pool noodle? Will protect your car interior. When funds allow you can attach a bag awning and shower canvas.
@LadiesCampingAustralia3 жыл бұрын
Awesome 👏🏼 some great ideas I could add the tape , much appreciated thank you 🙏🏻 the shower idea would be fabulous 👍👍

If you had the mattress behind the passenger seat, and the fridge on the seat behind the driver, you might have more lying down length. (swap).
@LadiesCampingAustralia2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately the back seat didn’t fold down right on that side.. it had to be the way I did it , thanks anyway 🙏🏻

Just started watching..thought would add..sleeping with head near fridge sucks! :( doesnt come on that often but woke me up when I was one got stuck sleeping in car last weekend ...maybe something to test before leaving.
@LadiesCampingAustralia3 жыл бұрын
Cheers for your comment and thoughts, Yes , maybe some ear plugs . Oh gee it’s going to be interesting 🧐 I could put it on the front seat , but guessing that’s not going to make a lot of difference.. lucky I will have my Oztent Rv3 with me . So it should only be for free camping locations for safety purposes. But I appreciate your feedback on that 🙏🏻👍👍🙋♀️ 😊

I put my fridge at the other end of my head, I don't mind a bit of noise, but not right near my head,

Great job, I’m doing something similar in my Mazda CX-5 but curious as to why you’re putting your rv3 tent on your drivers side? Will be following your journey.
@LadiesCampingAustralia3 жыл бұрын
Hello 👋 Thank you for your interest in following my journey 🙏🏻🙋♀️💐 No real reason why the tent is on that side , but now I see that advantages 😊 Fridge on the other side and easy then to assess the Thule box opening up on the same side . When travelling it’s easier when you get out of the car and just check everything is in place . I never had a problem but I also check it on stops 😊 🙏🏻🌺🙋♀️
@glendastewart35773 жыл бұрын
@@LadiesCampingAustralia yes would be difficult to get to the Thule - hadn’t thought of that😊😊

Hi Kristin, love watching your videos. Just wondering how you get your rv tent up onto the roof racks.
