I received a seal skin car cover for Christmas. Fitment was perfect. Came home from work. It gad rained, and then froze. The car cover leaked in several spots and then froze to the car. First thing the next day I called Seal Skins. I was directed to fill out a request for help teference the matter. I did this and submitted it the same day.

What cover would you guys recommend for a g37 that is parked outside next to a ship yard for 2 weeks out of the month. Lots of over spray, rail road dust and bird poop. Also something that will hold up to the rain.

if you are talking an ocean based ship yard, you might want to have the entire underside and engine bay coated in Cosmoline including the backsides of panels and under the bumper cover. I've used the spray can version RP342 from Cosmoline direct....upstate salty NY....and it is fine for surfaces that do not have rust.

What cover would you recommend for a 2022 Bronco Sport that will provide protection from cats scratching the paint. The Bronco Sport will be stored in the garage. The cover should also be soft on the inside, so it won't cause fine scratches or swirl marks.

The problem with this video is that they don’t actually test them over any length of time. Many expensive covers deteriorate after less than a year.

I don’t take out my Challenger much it’s Garage kept most of the time..... I started once a week in Garage when I don’t take it out for a spin. I leave it on for 20 minutes so it lubricates . The TA Hood gets hot because of engine being on . Do I have to let it cool down before I cover it up again with Car Cover? Hello, CARiD. I have a Thule roofrack on my little hatchback. Should I determine the actual size I need and then go to the next size up? Thank you. I store my car outdoors all year. I am in the north east. I have ceramic pro and Clear Bra. I have been using a silver single layer microbead outdoor cover that keeps off the rain. It lasts a year before water starts to seep in certain spots. BUT my issue is not so much the rain, snow or UV rays. My issue is with the damage to my paint around the edges of my car. When the wind is high the cover flaps up and down even with the 3 straps tight. It is custom fit for my C7 Vette. . It is rubbing away the shine on the edges. The edges that transition between the side and the top of the car. I do not know what is specifically rubbing off, clear coat, ceramic pro or clear coat, but I can clearly see a dulling in the area. Is there a cover that will prevent this or is it unavoidable since I would guess that any material, no matter how soft, will wear on the edges?

Ok so I plan on buying a cover for my car. My car sits outside and I need a cover that can deal with Michigan weather which can be very weird. So I would need a cover that can handle winter snow, rain, and hot summers as well. I would also want that cover to be breathable as well so the moisture does not get trapped inside. So what are you supposed to do with your car cover when you're not using it? There's no way that I would be putting it in my car considering that my car is always covered with albino spiders and other spiders. I have no garage and no outdoor storage area either. So how do you keep a $530 Sunbrella cover tip-top? I would think it would get moist and then just mold. You would have to hang it somewhere which I suppose isn't very practical if you're getting home late at night. I guess you'd have to buy something to hang it on? And where would you keep that? So while this review is helpful it doesn't really answer all the questions one would have before actually pulling the trigger on a purchase.

CARiD Yes, but like I said I wouldn't be willing to put it in my trunk because of how prolific the spiders are on my car. It's been a long-standing issue. Seems like car covers are mainly for people with garages who can dry out their cover by hanging it in some way up in the garage, but if you have a garage then why are you not putting your car in there to begin with? I'm sure people have their reasons, but I have no garage and I also for whatever reason have no outdoor storage. I'll wait on the car cover until I can find out a better solution in terms of how to actually keep it. Where I live something that's $530 would get stolen in a heartbeat if just left out to dry in a tree or on a line. I'd still like to cover my car, but need a better storage solution than my trunk.
