Are you using the full abaqus version? I am using the student version and got errors. Something to do with the car shape and meshes not being refined enough around certain curves

Mesh elements should be more in shapes or edges which are complex try using partition, and increase elements in those area and reduce number of elements in area which are not complex or which are simple. And also because in student version limited number of mesh elements can be generated ,so try using above method. I think it will be helpful

After you make the part for the rigid body, I think to assign reference point you need to go too TOOLS
