It takes PARTS cars to fix an older car as the parts are not produced by the manufacturer anymore. The sad part is when you have to crush a complete running car from that era. At the end of the day, it is just a job and someone has to do it

On the cars crushed they're gone foreverand they're never coming back I've restored a lot of cars that they said should have been crushed that turned out to be the most beautiful cars on the road even made a magazineclassic cars should not be crushed they should be put somewhere and wait for their time to be restored they're not $200 I looked for fur trim pieces for one of my cars it took me four years to find stop crushing these cars

It's kind of a double edged sword for me. Although I love the clean up and recycling aspect of junk cars, I always think about the cars life. It was once somebody's pride and joy, gleaming the day it rolled off the line. I guess all things no matter flesh or steel must come to it's end.

The rust on that 39 Buick was thicker than the metal on most cars. That thing still had potential. Either as a rat rot or donor for crash parts.

Just remember that these cars being parted out and salvaged is a good thing, without them, the restored examples of the same cars wouldn't be able to run due to a lack of parts

@@VitoVeccia I'm not much of a car guy, but I am a huge fan of semi trucks and traction engines. There's something heart wrenching about seeing a old/rare truck getting scrapped, it's like watching someone die in front of your eyes

Seen this many times, "Mr Amgonna fix it up some day" wouldn't let it go to some grease monkey and let it grow into the ground and then when he croaked the scrapper was the only one that could make anything of it, shame, i know about a dozen of those guys.

Paul Kasson the rear fenders alone were easily worth $ 300 each. I tried finding 2 good rear fenders for my 39 Chevy . Good luck .

That would've been a great project. Not even the frame was too rusty. My dream is to restore cars like that so they don't get crushed. I guess they just got sick of waitin' for someone to pick her up. I guess they love crushing people's dreams. Such a shame.😭

There's probably more metal in that stripped 39 Buick shell than any new car that's intact. Someone should have salvaged those rear brake drums. Even the three small bolts that hold them on are scarce these days.

U know I was a mechanic for 47 yrs. Been retired for five. And I have to say, it's nice to see all those cars get mashed together like a pancake. TankQ cuz I've seen under over around and threw every last one I've seen 2date. And now I get to see them meet their fate. Yippy!!!! DRC. ;)

FYI: That Buick was NOT saveable. You see how easily the side separated from the bottom when being crushed. That was all scrap rust/metal, no car left to it.

This is about the 5th or 6th crushing video I've watched, and in this video it seems like they had a different operator in the loader. He seemed to have trouble putting the cars into the crusher, all the way back. But in the end it worked anyway.

as much as it would be cool to turn that into a showroom queen, first off 98% of the car is gone second the cars body could be so badly rusted that its not worth much of anything. like panels can be fabricated and last of all there is a shit ton of 39 buicks out there that are in far better shape . just my opinion a am a gasser and classic lover. so i know some cars are just so damn bad that is just parts. such as this car. which has gotta be another car by now.. hopefully not a shitbox prius.

1st car, other then the rear fenders or wheel arches its been picked clean of parts, would of made a good rat rod but eh might too rusty to do that, 2nd car some 90's thing rusted out and might be accedenr damaged, 3rd car some late 80's car looks to be justr as rusty as the 90's one before it, the weather were ever these cars are must be 60% snow so they have to put salt on the roads as these cars are quite rusted out in the sils foors and wheel arches, 4th car some 00's car no wait 90's as its mostly metal not plasticy crap so maybe late 90''s looks to have been picked clean engine wise and front engine wise 5th car something 90's ford maybe? those rear lights look less ford either way rusty on the sills and doors

Random Stuff In Oregon lol we'd have a ton of 60's and older cars with so much rust and worth absolutely nothing hanging out all over the place. I love 'em just as much as the next guy, but sometimes there's no saving them. I'm gonna assume the old '39 Buick here had a little too much rust to be restorable (listen to it, it sounds crunchy and brittle when being crushed). Unfortunately, you or I either one got to look it over, but I'm sure there was a fairly good reason it ended up there. You can't blame the yard owner for that. He's just trying to make money off what was sold to him. And scrap is his business. It's a good reminder to us all that we should save classic cars when we can.
