There has been a bubble with car prices since 2020. The median car price in 2020 was 38k. In 2025, it is 49k, or approximately 29% increase. During that same period, median household income grew by less than 3%. So the car manufacturers and dealers are doing this to themselves. My question is is why??? Who do they think can afford their cars??? Most of us have been priced out of the new car market, especially for luxury vehicles or fully loaded SUVs and trucks. Most of us know we are better off buying a quality used car like a five year old Toyota 4runner for money.

As a truck driver, the number one vehicle I see broken down on the side of the road is jeeps in their defense. It is normally a compass. Oddly second would be a Dodge or a Ford pick up
