Local roadside work is no match for what the workshop guys do. Always claim insurance if you have zero dep cover, Rs 1000 is a very small amount to get this corrected brother. If you never want to claim insurance and save NCB why not just opt for third party insurance. Independent workshop are also there which in some case do better work than authorised service center, so look for a paith booth one.

metallic paint is always baked after each phase. on road side no baking of paint!!! so wont last long. In showroom wherever the painting is newly done that panel is baked for 20-30 mins. Also OEM paint wont be available in market so no matter outside wherever you do paint job it will never match and will be clearly visible once the gloss they applied dries off in a month or so

Always go the authorise service center... This local garages will boast you but their paint won't last... Also, if u find show-room bit expensive just claim it... Don't think too much about NCB, and limit..... It's like ( jab petrol puri ek boond bachega tabhi mai refill karao..).. Just use the insurance, as it is meant to be..

Actually I'm an insurance agent and you are absolutely wrong , what if he claims his insurance for small dents and scratches and next month car goes into total loss or becomes a scrap after accident.

The job isn't up to the mark. Ideally they should use 2-3 coats of body filler, with atleast 2 coats of white putty to smoothen the gaps, with 2 coats of surfacer, and then finally 2 coats of paint and 1/2 coats of lacquer. Paint bhi 2K wala use karna. Also, a small tip, do get your repainted area color sanded and buffed after 1/2 weeks, to get rid of the orange peel.

Your dent is much less than mine... they were charging more from you. Great that you got it done from local garage. I'll claim at the end of the year and get the door replaced. Not very confident about the local garages in my area...
