CAR GRILL WRAP 3M VINYL / CHROME DELETE

In this video I am attempting to wrap my Skoda VRS Grille in 3M black vinyl
You will need for this:
Black 3M Vinyl from Ebay
Heat Gun
Surgical Blade
Squeegee with a soft edge / edging tool
Non marking cloth / New Microfibre cloth
Plenty of patience!!!
The Grille Surround can be purchased from Super Skoda but I thought lets try some Vinyl and see how it turns out
This is the first time I have attempted wrapping anything on my car so watch the video and see how it turns out

Give it a try! I had 2 attempts and the vinyl was only around £6.00 from eBay! Well worth a go for sure 👌🏼

Came across this video, just as my chrome started to peel off the grill frame. I was thinking of repainting the plastic, but this is much easier, and I have some matte black wrap already :D

That vhrome frame comes of super easy. You could have done it in one piece but looks cool anyway mate!

It looks amazing, I also wanted to order the grill cover for my Rapid on Super Skoda. I agree the prices are just ridiculous. I will give it a go with the vinyl.

Cheers, i am looking up videos on the topic on this same car and i was wondering if you could do the grille with the 2 inch tape versus wasting a big square piece. Looking very nice there. My blue VRS gen III will look so much nicer with black trim all around.

Yes for what it costs and the join line it really does transform the look! Just clean the old grille well and mine is still looking great…. Tempted to do the wing mirrors black

I think you would need at least a decent hairdryer to give you the stretch and flexibility when working with the 3M Wrap

So far it has lasted, you got to be careful with the pressure washer, it changes the look so much

@user-ow8ju4kp4r it’s still looking really good, a slight gap in the 2 joins but that’s being really fussy! I hope to upgrade my daily driver soon and get wrapping!

@@PocketRocketGarage we have down graded had the karoq vrs but fuel consumption was crazy. Just for a slightly older Octavia but don’t like the chrome, am glad too here it has held up, did you do the chrome around the doors?

Hi David, it is still on and looks fine, I avoid any contact with the pressure washer I did try and apply it using 1 piece but I just couldn’t do it hence ending up using 2 pieces… it looks easy on KZbin 😄

I don’t use the pressure washer directly on the grille the same as badges / decals. It’s been over a year and still looks as it did when I applied it 👌🏼
