Have a 12k 2 post Challenger lift, I took my unit to a shop to have them check it out. After they looked at it, the kinda just blew me off and didn't really want anything to do with it. The lift is only 5 years old, and still looks new. So I found your video on pump repairs. I watched the whole video, and you showed me most of everything that can go wrong with all of the parts layed out. So i decide what do i have to loose. I took it all apart,,, I found a Split o-ring were the pump bolts to the base. I installed a new set of o-rings. Reinstalled it back on to the lift, and boom, It lifted my 1 ton chevy 6.6 diesel right up.. The original problem was the lift would go up very slow, Over time it was getting slower and slower. So I thank you for your video, I couldn't have done it with out your help

Hi, I am having a similar problem, just noticed my two-post hoist is slower to go up than before. Were you able to obtain the seal from a bearing shop or do you have to get the seals that are made specific for a lift pump?

@@wecarespares went to a hydraulic shop. Had lots of orings to choose from. So went with my split oring and matched it up. From what I remember. It was a little curved. But it fit into the groove, and sealed great.

Hi I have a 4 post lift surging bounceing while going up jumping as it goes up any ideas

Thank you, great video. My pump is not making pressure. When I removed the oil fill cap I can see the pickup, return, and the check valve. Oil shoots out of the side of the check valve while running the motor. I will pull the reservoir and look into the check valve.

@Brian B I did. The bypass valve was sticking open due to loc-tite that had been applied. I cleaned it out, adjusted it to 8½ turns. All is well.

The 2nd check valve you showed, the longer one, do you have an illustrated break down? We have been told that there is supposed to be an o ring, but we can’t find where it’s supposed to go.

i have rotary 12000 2 post hoist , only 5 year old hoist jumping after 6 feet lifting . i remove air from the system , it works good , if lift second time it jumps . please let me know , is there any way air can get in to the pickup tube .any advise please

i have a 9000lb lift ,when i lift my crew cab dually , the lift comes up very slow , can i replace motor with a motor with more hp?

Yes, but you are limited by pump not motor hp. You will see absolutely nothing.

My Maxjack is only 1.5 year old with light use and it won't go up anymore.
