That's true. My 1980 Celica sat in a shed for 12 years before the previous owner had it for 2, and it has a very small amount of rust. But it also needed the cooling system, tyres, brakes, belts and other stuff like that replaced, so that's the detail that CMS is missing.

My guess is the car was expecting certain sized rims (regardless of what came off of it originally). Width, profile, and offset don't seem to matter for being able to mount them but too small or large of a rim diameter and the car is unhappy.

No it was a bug, the same thing happened to me and it was fixed shortly after.

Yep, same here. Sold the used tires the car came with by accident, and couldn't get other wheels on it, or the old tires back. Bought new ones. Couldn't install them for the life of me. Turns out I had to balance them, then was able to install them.

News of the CMStown A crash occured on the Lob-sidid st. on the 1st of the august. The witnesses say the crash happened between a FRI v8 Saxo and a Lobtona muscle car. The main reason believed is that the muscle car had different left and right wheels. The considered suspect is the mechanic.

the shocks are not repairable, as you showed, but did you know you can sell them for more when they are pulled apart? if you sell as one piece, you get price for one used shock, if you sell individual parts, you get shock, spring and cap price. same applies to tires/rims vs wheel price.

Even if you cant fix the body, you can fix almost everything and you can get still a lot of restoration bonus. im bored of the grindy orders and restore only cars from the junkjard. Cars you find there are in a worse condition then the barn once :).

Scrapyard is better than barns for finding wreck cars to do up, theyre pretty FUBAR and have lots of work to be done on them, whereas barn find cars seem better for scavenging parts

I had a car do that to me, I put a wheel back on it, and the damn thing vanished. Ended up having to buy a new one to get it going again. First barn I went to I found a really crap car, but since the patch they all been like that one. nice engines, suspensions and running gears, but not so good bodies.

Does anyone actiully know how it works to do like superchargers and stuff? can you just stick another engine in a car, or is it like in cms 2015 where you really need to select an engine swap(which isn't in cms 2018 yet I think), but you can buy superchargers and stuff...

no both mazda cars have R2 rotary engines with a few different parts stuck on them. The I3 is in the rear engine rear drive Renault Clio clone (can't remember its name but its a new car in the base game).

I thought my game was bugged with the wheels, but it turns out I was trying to put the wrong tyres on. I was trying to put 'regular' tyres on when the car actually needed 'regular b' tyres. If it's not that then make sure you balance the wheels prior to trying to fit them.

Man can you help me out? I'm new to the game, I'm trying to restore the Bolt Cape that came with the game... I took everything apart and redid the engine, trans, exhaust, everything... The only thing left is the front wheels! I go into part assembly mode and it doesn't even show that I can put any front wheels on... I tried the regular B too and it still didn't work

The best way IMO to get money is to go to the junkyard to scavenge parts. They sell them to you for really cheap and if you repair them the profits are huge. I once got a 70-80% gearbox worth around 2000 dollars when new for around 150.

**cringes at thought of using bugged engine crane** BTW the junkyard unlocks at level 13 so get you tetanus shoots ready because there are some real rust buckets in there. Supposedly the auction house is at 19 but I haven't gotten there yet to confirm.

If you get a percentage off of the shops than you can buy and sell stuff from the store. It is a little cheaty but if you need like $150 than it helps.

I also got the glitch where you can't put items on, sometimes even when I go try to sell them, I click yes and they're still there, when I reload the game they're gone. you should buy new ones and see if they would work. (and even if they don't, you can just sell them again)

Try using the wheel balancer to put them on the daytona, whenever you fix or change a tire on a wheel, you need to balance it
