if you hit the star next to the part it highlights where it goes. I have those issues too with it not recognizing the repair it's always the percentage belts and everything but bushings for example if the order says to replace with 100% that part must be in the correct spot. Press the star next to a discovered part and a blue outline appears telling you where the game expects the new part to be.

what you need to do to get the editor is hit play on steam and a menu should show up that has 3 options: 1) play cms2018 2) launch GAME EDITOR 3) reset all settings. that should work you're welcome
