The EGR helps keep our air breathable. It is not necessarily the sole way to do this but it does make a meaningful contribution, and when you consider that a car's occupants get the worst of its exhaust, that is actually a meaningful improvement for most drivers and their children, who are effectively made to smoke.

changing your oil on time(*) is the main reason any part lasts. * that doesn't necessarily mean "by the book" though... these 10k intervals some manufacturers recommend, is bullshit (in my not so humble opinion.) *IF* you're going to try and push it that far, you NEED to pull samples have them tested regularly, to make sure it's actually lasting that long. still even then I doubt I'd do it.

If you said N20 engine (hard to hear, it could be "M20" although that thing is ancient) I think it would be good to be a bit more specific. The N20 until ~2015 have big problems with their timing chain guides, leading to a massive recall in the US. However, this recall does not apply to New Zealand and the number of cheap Japan-import N20-vehicles waiting to explode is rather large. Alex better check if this is an updated version or had its guides / chain replaced. If not, walk away and go for a B48.

What is Johnny’s definition of changing oil on time for a BMW? Trust the computer or cut whatever it says in half (5/6,000 miles)?
@eppyz5 ай бұрын
A couple of questions if anyone can answer. 1. Curious to why the Ninja isn't putting out as many videos? 2. Seems to be some turn around at the shop, some new people, where did the other guys go? 3. Because of the staff changes, is that why there is less content being put out? Lastly, this isn't a question but just something I want to say, I get so tired of hearing people say German cars are crap, that they are unreliable and what not and when you ask them if they serviced the vehicle on time and used OEM parts they say no. Then they blame the car for oil leaks and what not when THEY the OWNER F*ud up. Then the follow up is poor engineering? It's not poor engineering, it's just a constant battle to keep up with the constant Emissions requirements which usually mean cars need to be lighter to meet the requirements. Less weight, less for the engine to move, usually equals to more MPG's. Ironically, the Asians car brands which are masters of copying, are falling victim as well to the "Plastic" trap. Just feel German cars get a bad rap for what really comes down to lack of maintenance and using aftermarket cheap parts. Am I right?
