A nice size hepa filter would help remove dust from the air. You couldn’t use it when painting but 30-1 hr before would really help clear the air of particles. Even running it the night before clear the air. I sprayed in my garage and my house Stunk for a few days. How do you get away with it❓❓❓. Also, flush times between coats would be helpful.

Hi Pharraway, lovely job on the hood it has a nice glassy finish and looks really clean as well, the only problem with doing a black is it shows all the imperfections and dirt nibs so there is nowhere to hide👌👌👍John UK.

Just to clarify on the fan setup. You say they PULL. Do you mean that they pull air from the garage and blow it outside?? So where does air come in? I see daylight between the rafters. Is that where air comes in?

Question: i painted my 64 impala4 yrs ago and the paint is started to peel and chip away from the sealer. What could cause this?? I took it down to bare metal, sprayed high fill primer, did body work and then black primer sealer. Then painted after about 2 min. Sealer was a wet on wet. Now its chiping all over.

you did not let the sealer dry enough, on the sealer its about 15min dry time

So vertical mounting keeps dust from landing, but is it more likely to get runs? Also, why did you tape off the underside of the hood?

not really if its done right you will be fine and the tape is where the heat foam is did not want to paint the foam
