Nice review, good detail you don't hear in most reviews. Like how its manufactured and comparison of other trims.

Yes the Value definitely gives you most if not all of the most important safety features at a great price!

bought one in scarlet red, love it, nice ride, good gas mileage, one concern, when I drive in rural areas , the side assist warning comes on as it doesn't sense any vehicles for quite awhile. it'll unnerve you, but after taking to dealer, they suggest turning off side assist when in rural areas where no traffic ??

Can you turn off the emergency braking option? I would be worried that at highway speeds it would sense a collision as I’m going around a curve and it senses the cement blocks, or steel barrier or marker posts & then slams on the brakes, causing me to loose control!

As an owner of Hyundai and having a lot of drive time behind the whole Hyundai Line up I have never had such issues. But if you feel inclined to do so you can change it by going through your gauge cluster and finding Driving Assist. Please refer to this video for further assistance and a little more information about the Automatic Emergency Braking. kzbin.info/www/bejne/i2OahqhtbN9jm6M

Hi, thanks for the great review. Can you tell me if 2019 Value Edition has a button on the mirror for opening the garage door, my 2015 does have this feature and I really like it. Thanks again and have a great day. And does it have the pop down compartment for glasses on the front part of the roof?
@UniversalHyundaiOrlando5 жыл бұрын
The 2019 Elantra Value does have the compartment for glasses but unfortunately if you wanted the garage door opener, you would have to go to the Limited Trim Level.

Why did Hyundai discontinue the power seat and power lumbar support for the Value Edition, and I have seen that every trim level including the base model comes standard with fog lights correct?
@petergilbert1446 жыл бұрын
The 18 Value Edition deleted the power seats with lumbar support and in its place replaced the 17 rear drum brakes with disk brakes for 18. The reason they did that was back in 17, there was a huge outcry of hatred that the Value Edition didn't have rear disk brakes and to comply with keeping a similar price, they deleted the power seat for 18 to address the concern without upping the price. Looking at the trim level building tool on Hyundai's American site I would say those lights are standard period.

Is there drivers power seat with power lumbar support standard on the limited trim?
@petergilbert1446 жыл бұрын
@@aryehrosenthal2138 Yes and only offered on the Limited trim. Also, I would go to the Elantra's website that will answer anything you would want to know. < www.hyundaiusa.com/elantra/index.aspx >. You can find their pictures, build the different trim levels, and under the "Features & Specs" tab find out anything you would want to know in a table view with every trim level.

2019 Hyundai Elantra is on my short list. I'm not really happy with the packaging of features though, and I find that's always been a problem with I consider a Hyundai every few years. I want auto climate control and alloy wheels, but I don't want a sunroof nor all the electronic nannies for blind spot monitoring, forward collision alert, dirty butt monitor, etc etc. That stuff adds lots of sensors and computers and that crap is just going to fail with time. I also worry the forward collision mitigation will respond when it shouldn't and slam on the brakes, causing me to get rear ended. I've heard of some complaints that detects falsely at times and hits the brakes when it shouldn't. That scares me. With all that said, I think it's a great looking car, nice value for money, and I like that it has a softer, quieter, more upscale demeanor than other cars in its class. Lots of hate on the new front end, but I think it looks really distinctive and sharp! Previous gen had lights and grill shape of the Dodge Dart. Meh.

You can turn the safety features off 🤦

@@katieducky23 I opted to save some money by stepping down 1 trim to SEL. I gave up the auto climate control, but I'm honestly not missing that feature. The SEL is the best fit for me.

@@palebeachbum I feel you. I got the 18 limited (ultimate) because I used to have a acura so I'm used to unnecessary luxury but it's a cheaper pricetag 😂 but I feel you don't pay for shit you'll never use
