Hey everyone. I had to flame the first version of this because I got something very wrong. It happens to the best. And to me. I'm gutted because a few thousand of you had already watched it, but more than that because some of you had posted some genuinely lovely comments. If you're one of those people, feel free to write them again below. :-D Seriously though, I just want to thank you all for engaging with the videos, for helping the channel grow, and for saying things that really make doing these worthwhile. I truly appreciate it all. It's a pleasure and a privilege to do this job. You're a great bunch. To a great 2019... Mark.

Pulling the skin off a rice pudding refers to being weak...rather than slow, still funny though. Love the reviews, kudos!

Was it the automated manual thing? Because this is a proper torque converter.

I truly enjoy watching every car review you post. It’s the humor and all the references you make that makes this chanel stand out from the crowd. Simply, your reviews make other’s look boring.

Imagine this guy and Matt from Car Wow presenting Top Gear. It would be amazing!

It is a traditional automatic gearbox also in this Peugeot and it is made by Aisin from Japan.

Arteon will not get digital dash in base for 30k, so to get Peugeot experience you'll have to spend 35-45k in competitors cars. Peugeot is a winner

Remember the 406? Hmm... I remember the 406 coupé though. Great looks, packaging and drive. A lovely car!

Great review Mark! Car looks great inside and out. The only part I'd disagree on is the Peugeot 406 part...when these came out they were a lovely lovely thing, very well regarded. Anyway...yeah, great!

Yes, actually Peugeot 508 is like rebirth of 406 - the best Peugeot of 21 century

Agree, Peugeot 406 very handsome proportions

My original comment still stands. I agree with a previous comment stating he thought you were the best reviewer around. I really like the humor you bring to your reviews. This is first class, informative and witty. The comparisons drawn with other vehicles and manufacturers in this segment are, I believe, both fair and relevant. You struck a sound balance. Just why is Paddy McGuinnes doing the New Top Gear? He can't be as good or as funny as this reviewer. Great car, great review! "You're a real funny guy" Funny? Funny how? Good fella, keep it up. Cheers!

Yet another engaging video, and you definitely made your point well; I didn't expect this car to be quite so appealing... I actually own the forgettable Pug 406. It was £300, and I have no other justification.

Seems you forgot that in its era, the 406 was a very good car

That's still beautiful car. Pininfarina knew how to draw nice 'lines'.

Great Vid as always. Not buying the good residuals tho.... Peugeot obviously make a big thing about it in the press pack but not discounting at source is not the only criteria affecting depreciation. Also, they won’t sell and boom Peugeot will introduce discounts.

The 406 was a decent motor and top of the pack in terms of handling, the 407 was the terrible follow-up. Anyway this 508 seems fantastic but probably won't sell, I look forward to maybe picking one up for peanuts in 5 years time!
@Sherukka6 жыл бұрын
livc444111 No way the 407 was terrible!

Yes 406 was great and had perfect design good proportions which was destroyed in 407

Good review but, that pricing list - octavia is not in that category, passat is. Also arteon and stinger are from the class above.

A left ma script in tha hoose! Yes!! Well, the car looks nice and wot not but I would dread this thing falling apart, I haven’t heard a good thing said about PSA group cars since mid 90’s, hope they make them as good as they look. Great video as ever. 👍🏼

I was going to ask to compare it to V60 (as S60 is not on the UK market yet), but now I see that staring prince is... 32k!

You have to be a contortionist to access the rear seats. In the driving position you're locked in, if you're tall you stick with your head on the roof, if you're lowYou do not see the instrument panel above the steering wheel. As the doors have no frame, at high speeds everything is noise and whistling. A junk Peuge-NOT.

Beautiful car but it will break in half after 5000km
@lulolee53255 жыл бұрын
miraamshah... you must be kidding.. Peugeot easily make 400K km, lots of 15 years old Peugeot cars and most of them still even look very fresh...
