Didn't even hit the turbo on 0-60! Turbo kicks in at 2500 rpm, pulls hard at 3000 until about 3750. A short range but VERY powerful! Hence the slow time. Shame, he made it look lame...

Sorry dude, I was really bad at that back then. It was a great car though. I'd definitely redo it if I have the chance.

Who in their right mind shifts a diesel at 3000rpm

So which are the RPMs to shift a diesel properly?sorry for the question I got some plans for mi grandpa's 306 td (I'll need to rectificate the engine so I'm saving money for it since a couple months)and usually I used to shift slightly above 2500 RPM,wich is the moment that the turbo activates

​@@santiagobritolezana1589 I had owned this car for 4 years. It's a old turbocharged diesel... then with this car nothing happen before 2200 RPM. If you want to have some power, I should say you can shift between 2500 and 3000 RPM. But if you really want the 90 hp, it's will be between a bit more than 3000 and up to 4000 RPM. Between 4000 and 4500 RPM, the power is still not bad but decreasing. (and 0-100 km/h is done in 11.8 sec, so quite the same with 0-60 mph. The only thing is... don't drive like in this video!)

@@CroixChapeauStudio It hurt me when people drive old diesels like this. My 306 was destroyed when I bought it because owner drove like idiot floring it and shifting at 2500rpm. It didn't even trigger turbo because all the wire cables were lose it was missfiring like crazy... just disaster I had to rebuild engine, fuel pump, change all gaskets, filters, wires and everything... the manifold was all clogged up from low rpm revs. (now it lives wonderful life as stock beautiful piece in my garage) Screw dumb people destroying our legacy with their stupidity.
