Car review of the mods I have made to my 2023 Mach 1 Mustang

Nice car and mods. I have the same 2023 in Race Red manual with handling pack and it's all stock besides window tints and swapped my Cup 2's for PS4S'. The only thing for me is the side scoops, not sure i would put those but i like the subtle mods you did. Congrats, nice car.

As an American. This Mach 1 is absolutely stunning. We Americans love to modify our cars, so who cares if the stuff you added is not “original Mach”. It’s your car do what you please!!

Sinceramente, si conduces mucho el coche tienes que tener cuidado con los neumáticos traseros, no puedo imaginar 750 caballos de fuerza en este coche, sería difícil de controlar. El Shelby F150 "super snake" sería mejor creo👍🏼

I love what you have done with the car. I saw your car on Facebook and followed to your KZbin channel. I was looking at possibly doing the side scoops and you pretty much helped me make my mind up. I may also go ahead and have my front fender flares painted like yours as well. Excellent work on the car!

Hi Robert, thanks for watching my videos. I get a mixed reaction to the side scoops but when you actually see them on the car most people really like them. It's all about how you want your car to look. The fender flares also look really good in person when painted, not like an add on, with the extra bonus of making the front look slightly lower. I have read some data that suggests opening up the hole for Fog lites is not a good idea and doesn’t improve performance. I however thought about installing yellow fog lites like ford dose on the race cars. I also have the jet fighter grey with appearance, and HP.

I have tried to research this to understand if I can help airflow / performance. So the new S650s have closed airboxs that take air from the front grille. The Mach 1 has an extended airbox intake that has a blanking cover fitted. I have removed the cover to allow cold pressurised air directly into the airbox. The benefits of low air inlet temps are worth having for many reasons. I have also fitted a cover to my airbox. There is no wire or fixing pre installation for fog lights. I've just placed a deposit on a 2016 Mustang GT picking it up Friday. Mustang has always been my childhood dream car and finally taken the plunge. My current car is a Bentley continental GT supersports conversion so I'm a little worried I will notice the power difference. Will see! Shame you are on the mainland as my best friend that lives in Mallorca has a 2022 Shelby. He bought it from an American dealer in Málaga I believe. Also he has a 2022 Hellcat. Nice car man! Not owning one at the moment but I hope I will quite soon so I am searching the web for inspiraton. What tire dimension are you runnng 305/35 or 30? And do you have lowering springs or is this the the standard Mach 1 Euro springs? Love the car!

Hi Johan, so I'm running MPS 4S 325 30s on the rear and 305 30s on the front, no issues. My car already bottoms out every now and again on speed ramps and slopes so no way you could lower it further without having issues and damaging the spoilers, thanks for watching 👍🏼

Congratulations on a fantastic car. All mods so far trully make it stand out even more. May I ask if you have tracked your car with the HP wheels? Does this new setup upset the stability Control? Have you driven with them in the Rain? I ask because the car was not HP from factory so not set up dynamically for these wheels. Do you feel the need to Seek any suspension and chassis adjustments for these wheels? Thanks

Hi, so I have not taken the car on the track as yet, not many here unfortunately. In Spain I have to be careful of the guarantee as it's different to the US. To be honest the car drives amazingly with the HP wheels, smooth, slight wander on some roads due to ruts but with the magna ride it's just planted normally at any speed. I know you can adjust the front camber with the HP cars but honestly I don't need that for road use. I have been told by the Ford dealer here that the European version of the Mach 1 is different to the US in that it had different thicker anti roll bars and body rigidity to pass EU spec tests, not sure if that's correct? ​@@icemach1964 Hello again ICE. Hope you don't mind some more questions regarding your mods on the EU spec car. Thinking about all of them and you are a prime source of experience with them. Did your car have a HydroCarbon filter and did you remove it? Has that and the Airaid filter returned any CEL on the car? Any noticeble performance improvement with this mod? Did the H Pipe return any CEL? Will the car pass emissions test with the above mods? Has the driver side catchcan returned any oil and do you think only the passenger SIDE is worth it? Blacked out tail lights look awesome but are they legal? With the HP wheels did you have any aquaplanning issues in the wet and do feel the need to install any subframe Steeda swaybars or braces? Was the reservour painted or installed a new blacked out cover part? Thanks again and hope you don't mind all the questions. Regards and enjoy the beautiful car!

@@jonyfrommars Hi, no problem, happy to help if I can. The Euro spec Mach 1s don't have the HC filter luckily but they do unfortunately have the GPF filter in the exhaust system, I'm not sure how restrictive it is? I have no CEL lights for the air filter or H pipe. I have not dynoed the car but it feels more responsive. Neither the air filter or H pipe should affect the emissions. My passenger catch can does have oil in it that would be in the inlet manifold and valves, it's definitely worth doing. Nothing on the driver side as yet but I installed it just to be sure. The tail lights might not pass the car inspection but they are easy to remove if needed. We really don't get much rain in Spain, but the few times I have been our when it's wet I have had no issues. I have not upgraded the suspension, I might do it in the future, but the car handles great as is. The expansion tank has a cover fitted to it, you could paint I suppose but the cover is easier. I was wondering how the EU spec is lower in power vs the US version and besides ECU we have some restriction in the exhaust!! Good to know about the NO CEL with HPipe and air Filter. Good advice on the passenger side CC. Please do tell if driver side picks up oil. I really agree the grey container cover and black tail lights look amazing. Can you provide links to those parts by any chance? Your car is trully and inpiration and labor of love. Always apreceate your informative detailed videos. I also have a Mustang Mach 1 EU Spec. You have the Bird Nest rims that are just beautiful. The front tires are 255 wide and the rear tires are 275. You have 305 at the front and 315 at the rear. Did you have to make any modifications to your EU Mach 1 so that the tires and rims would fit?

Hi, you are correct I had the standard EU spec rims / tires. You will be glad to hear that the birds nest wheels are a direct swap, they even use the original wheel nuts. The only mods you will need to make are : 1/ the front wheel arch lip extension, handling pack. 2/ rear wheel arch handling pack stone guard. 3/ I fitted some extra stone guards to the front lower wheel arch to help prevent the sides of the car being damaged. My tires are 305 front, 325 rear, no issues. Try Harry at Nemesis UK or John at Steeda EU for prices on the wheels, tell them I sent you lol. Thanks for watching my videos 👍🏼

Hi, i used the film designed to darken the top of you wind shield. It's sold in a roll on Amazon, so I made a template from paper then cut the film to fit. It was perfect. Thanks for watching 👍🏼

Hi ICE. I got a 2021 M1 and am considering replacing the Airaid filter in. Did yours give you any CEL code or give you any warranty issues with the dealer? Also, did your M1 have the HydroCarbon trap filter inside the air box tune? If so did you remove it? Any codes or emmisions problem? Was it easy to remove? Hi Jony, the Airaid filter is the exact same filter offered by Ford performance, I had no CEL codes or warranty issues. In Europe we don't have the HC traps, instead we have an extra GPF filter part in the exhaust system which cannot be removed. I have fitted a H pipe without any code issues, Hope that helps. Hi, my Ford dealer painted the rear wing for me and I installed it. I just prefer the colour matched look with the gloss black gurney flap. Thanks for watching

Hi, no wheel spacers, the wheels are the original Ford performance that is used on the Mach 1 handling pack specification. The rear tyres are 325 and the front 305 MPS 4S. I have fitted the front wheel arch extension that is used on the handling package. None of the wheels stick out. The car sits really nice with this setup. Thanks for watching

Hi, I used the Cervini C-Series Lower Side Scoops. Most people that see my car like them, some don't but I really like the look of them. The Cervini scoops are not the cheapest but I really like the design of them compared to others. Good luck with them👍🏼

Hi, they are from ZL1 ADDONS, Deluxe Front & Rear Rock Guards. You cannot actually use the rear set because of the Ford rear stone guards. Thanks for watching
