Family art, nice!!! Don't give up, Florida is the same way. Tennessee seems to be due well for folk art. Now we do have a place called Cocoa village and when they do art shows, it seems to be more receptive for selling carves. So keep up the great work and be patient, you do real nice carve pieces and have a unique talent. Take care!

Your craft set up looks good. You have talent. I woodburn a few hiking sticks & do a little leather craft. In the bushcraft.. hiking & camping world there is clientele..just saying.

Gotcha. I've made a walking stick. And it sold quick. It was fun to make. I have 3 sticks just waiting to be carved on. It's on my to do list. I think the one in Hartsel will be more rewarding. I hope anyhow. ✌️

It was. It's nice just to hang out and see peoples reactions to my stuff. Plus the car show was really cool. I think they said this year there were 91 total entries. Cars, bikes, tractors, etc. So that was nice. Live music and all sorts of stuff going on.

I enjoy it way too much to stop what I'm doing. 🤣 I get sales from out of town customers that come into the shop. And we are talking about just doing out of town shows more towards the mountains. We'll, maybe 2 or three a year depending on money and if we can get away from the shop.

I know when I went outta town and closer to the mountains I sold good and people were just so different. They appreciated it more if that makes sense.

@@AmyJo143 I was cleaning up my shed and one of the kids left a wet Macrocapa log ( about the size of your Indian carving ) on my bandsaw which fell on my foot ( I was wearing sneakers ) and broke my big toe plus mushed my toe nail. I may loose the nail. The whole thing sucks lol.
