This was very enlightning for me. Just finished my first year as a coder (age 39) and I really get what you're saying about the coasting... In the last few months i'm starting to feel that way to some extent. I'm at a mid size company (about 60 devs) so there are some leg room for growth I'd say. However it's all within the limits of JavaScript for FE and PHP for BE. So I'm thinking a bit back and forth how to optimize growth. One alternative would be to keep going with the same frameworks, and instead of focusing on learning new syntax and setups, rather focus on learning to refactor, optimize, break down old work flows and make things run smoother and so on... Somehow I feel these kind of focus areas only become available once I know the current state of affairs really well. And I think these kinds of skills are more universal in a way. In other words, by hopping to completely untreaded soil I'd learn lots and lots of stuff, but it would be more of a surfice level. One the other hand I'm sure there will come a point where it's a good choice to change the environment altogether.... So I'm curious to hear you go a bit further on this topic, having been through many of these cycles as you say and also worked in different places. Do you for example remember an occasion where you in hindsight think you changed to soon and missed an opportunity for growth by doing so?

Thank you for answering Andreas, I'm sure others can also learn something valuable from your experience.

The Confusion/Coasting cycle can happen in a dimension outside technical side of engineering as well... It's not just growth along a single axis, but more of a star plot

Car talk question: are you ever concerned about the ethical gravity of building a web browser? By that I'm mean, hopefully someday people will be using Ladybird on their devices out in the wild, shopping online, logging into their bank, etc. Does the idea of your and the community's code being used in such a sensitive way ever stress you out?

o zaman size tavsiyem herhangi bir tarayıcı kullanmamanızdır. hiçbiri size garanti vermez.

@@SalurPacacioglu that's all well and good. But people *will* use browsers, and given that browsers will always have bugs, I know I would personally feel stressed about the possibility that my code could bring someone harm. Not to say that ladybird is a bad idea and shouldn't be done. I think its eventual success would be a huge win for the free web.

Bir programcının ihtiyacı olan şey: huzur os. web tarayıcısı, derleyici. ve sanırım sırada sanal makine var??!!
