Whenever a Jaguar is being reviewed, the bitter, angry people start posting comments about how unreliable they are. Their Ford Fiesta can do better and there's always the Corvette owner. You just don't get it.This is why people at Cadillac thought they would attract the BMW driver. Stats show only those who already drive American would consider a Caddy. You are not even in the same league. Mentality, lifestyle, everything. I have two Jaguars and no problems for over 7 yrs. I love them & will buy again.

+penvon Please, this is the 21st century. Any car can last 10 or more years if you take care of it. (i.e. Proper maintenance, fluid checks every month etc.) You've probably heard about the CVT on the Honda Civic, which will probably die at 80k miles. Prepare yourself for that 6 grand check to repair it.

I was a vette guy, having owned a c5 and c6. (Funny, I only got into vettes because my dealer let me drive a Vetter while I waited two weeks for a xkR to be delivered). My business partner and best friend got us a great deal on two F types cuz his wife is vp of marketing at jag. He got the convertible and I the coupe, both v6 s....had it for a month now and... it is a dream. Not strapped to a rocket fast like the Vetter but quick as hell. Unless you race it on a track don't think you will notice. Also... it is way prettier in person than in pictures or video.

Damn 60 FPS looks way way better than 30. After 7 years of 30 FPS on KZbin this video seems super fluid to my eyes which is fun to watch. The down side is any Thing below 60 fbs will look like pure "SHIT"

That entertainment control panel interface is exactly the same as the one in the 2014 Range Rover Sport which I ride in every day. It's rather terrible to be honest. Not customizable, not smooth, and not quick to navigate. The F-type is an absolutely stunning car though.

That's the point of CNET reviews. Plenty of reviews cover everything else in more detail, if that's what you want. Infotainment systems are something you use everyday, thus it's nice when they don't completely suck.

A BMW M4 is a Performance Car, so is any Mercedes AMG, same with Lexus ISF, and they all have voice command. The point of the review isn't to criticize what the car doesnt have, its to compare it to other cars who are priced the same, are in the same category, but can accomplish much more.

Pretty much all of it, but it is important to note that in much of europe the taxation on petrol cars is much higher than on electric cars. And on top of that the price of driving an electric car is practically nothing since you don't pay any environment related taxes, road tax etc. The tesla model s for example is the best selling car in Norway at the moment because it is so much cheaper. But I can totally see that in America this is cheaper in pretty much every way.

Love the F-type but will someone answer me this, did Jaguar mean to make it look like they were copying the C7 with the grab handle, led drls, and the hvac controls with the screen in the middle of the knob? I would think if they were trying to compete with Porsche they would want to differentiate themselves from the "bargain sports car" that Corvettes have always been know for.

Aaron Tilden It's hard to say who copied who because they both debuted and went on sale around the same time. I don't know when the F-type started development, but I do know the current Corvette (C7) had been in development since 2007, so make of that what you will.

Actually the whole reliability stance isn't completely true. I had an X type sport, and it never gave me a moments worry. The all wheel drive navigated the Colorado mountains with no effort, gas mileage was good considering how I drove it, and it never broke down once in the 4 years I had it. I would buy another Jag without hesitation.

TheCarxpert Umm, no. Just last year, Land Rover and Jaguar were amongst the bottom of Consumer Report's reliability index. Audi is in the top 10. Lexus, Toyota and Scion basically all Toyotas took the first 3 spots. Don't tell anyone Jaguar is more "reliable" than say a Porsche Cayman or 911, they'll laugh, no offense. yes, the Jag is more sexier, more soul, more boisterous but it's still not as well engineered.
