Best review of a car I've ever seen. I literally just watched a car sell itself to the customer. There was no grand standing here.. and I can actually feel you fighting all the praise and trying to keep it realistic but it just kept growing on you and it was such an authentic review and experience and all the people watching can feel that..Wow.. I am now a disabled vet and I'm on a very limited income and I will never be able to own one of these unfortunately so a review like this for a car lover like myself is very special. Reminds me of my old S-Type R with the 4.2. The pre face lift looks amazing and is definitely timeless. The new ones look good too but they toned down the exhaust. Even with the Titanium exhaust on the SVR, it's still loud but not nearly as loud as these earlier V8S' & R's. I remember talking to one of the engineers about it, and they don't know how the exhaust made it to production. It's way past the decibel limit haha, thank god it did though. Your audio setup truly shined in this one. Eargasms all around. Also, truly a British spec and it's fantastic, I admire the fact that the seatbelts and paddle shifters are in tan as well. Always thought these were cool, but they're so unpopular I haven't thought about one for the past couple years for sure. Now that you showed this one - they're back on the menu for me. Hard to believe it's 10 yo already. The interior looks perfect to me, all the touch points look obvious, tactile, no unnecessary goofing around with shit ton of touch screens. BMW F series style gear knob, very pretty AC control wheels, clean, well organized steering wheel. The only thing it could use is an old fashioned handbrake rather than an electronic one. Idk, I can't find proper words for it overall. It looks, it sings and it moves. Honestly, might've dethroned the LC500 in a "luxurious coupe perfect for a middle age crisis" category for me simply because it does all the LC already does, but screams way better on top of that.

I can speak from direct experience with the Carmax warranty on my 2015 F-Type R . It all depends on the dealer - I had my coolant pipes replaced under warranty, but Maxcare believed that the dealer was charging too much and I ended having to come out of pocket an extra $800 over what Maxcare covered.
@ElloGunva6 ай бұрын
@@Fordguy1997 I had a terrible time with Carvana. My view is, you can get a good deal on there if you're a car guy. Meaning, you can find a rare spec or vehicle priced well. The downside is you better prepare a month plus of no car while it's being repaired. Basically you get the car in the condition dealer vehicles are in when they recieve them. Before they're overlooked and repaired. That is up to you, the customer. And, most customer sdon't have the time to deal with the headache of it all, so just leave little issues. Saving Carvana the cost of actaully fixing the issue in the end. Carvana also owns the warranty company, SilverRock. This is my opinion after two cars from Carvana, that's what my view was at the end. I saved on a rare car, but had to waste so much of my time it would have been impossible if I wasn't remote. I returned the first car because the headache was not worth how rare the car was. One thing overlooked with the warranty on a rare car is that you might have to go to the dealer for the issue because the warranty forces you to go to your local Firestone for all the repairs. So keep that in mind when you pay 4k for an Audi, it's going to Firestone for the issues unless you want to pay the luxury shop fee which now is I think 300 or 500. You also only get 1 hour diagnosis, which at the dealer can add up fast when they charge 225/hr. Then, in the dealer might say it needs X part that costs 5000. Carvana (SilverRock) will say, nah we want this 2k "other brand" part because it's the same thing. The dealer wont do the repair with that part because it's a unique issue and the other cheaper parts never really fix it, so the customer has to pay the $3,000 difference for their "free" warranty repair. Thinking you'll save on a common issue with a vehicle you want where the repair can cost 10k... maybe not. You might end up paying 4k for the warranty and then pay out 3k over the life of the warranty. So you have to have over 7k worth of warranty issues for it to make financial sense for one common rare issue. Never mind all the other issues these vehicles have. It's a huge headache.

I was seriously considering a F-Type R for that 575hp and that sound. Although I wanted a "lightweight" sports car with good power and handling, the styling and noise of the R was pulling at me. I also like the newer reworked interior; although I like the pre-facelift front end better. I was going to go test drive one and then checked insurance prices and they are insane - literally three times a Porsche 911. That was a deal breaker since I hate pissing money away on insurance or taxes.
@dlj12854 ай бұрын
You are not wrong. I kinda got screwed on the insurance. I got a quote from my insurance company 4 months before I closed on a 2024 F-Type R. It was fine. Then after I was already committed to the car I got an updated quote and it doubled. So I’m paying double of what it would be to insure a brand new 911. Called a few other insurance companies and they were even more. Something transpired for this car in terms of rates, seemingly overnight. Kinda rots me a bit, but it is what it is. I still would have purchased the car, but this is an aspect of the ownership I’m not a fan of for sure.
@dlj12854 ай бұрын
It’s a low mileage summer-only toy. I may be able to get a better rate from Hagerty after a couple years of driving the car with my current insurer. They wouldn’t take me on until I had a few years under my belt on the car for whatever the reason. I’d say they’re my best hope for a more reasonable rate. This is despite being basically 50 with a perfect record.

15:00 _you haven't done anything_ The french already have "speed cameras" that don't go for speed but for too much noise and so they have "sound cameras" next to some roads. And you get fined for being too loud. Always liked the looks of the F-Type coupe especially, just a beautifull car. But when i got the chance to sit in it, i was a little dissapointed. Not by the looks, but that the headrest is integrated and not movable. Where it starts in the seat is right in between my shoulderblades and it presses uncomfortbly against my back there. (I am not overly tall,(187cm) but i have a long torso and short legs for my height. (I can't sit in a Miata either, the frame of the windscreen is right before my eyes with the seat in the lowest position. At least that was the case in the Miatas 10 years ago) And sadly those were the only seat option to my knowledge. Other manufacturers also make integrated headrests (which i a stupid idea in my opinion) but they at least don't push outwards that low in the seat. And for my personal taste it's just a little too loud. I like V8 sound, but at a little lower volume level.
