Antoine's review quality is improving quickly, actually. Maybe still plays it a bit too safe. And man, maybe I'm a terrible person but if you're going to broadcast for the public and you have a lisp, get some speech coaching done and kill it. Nothing against his passion to broadcast and review cars. If you're going to play professional football, you have to have, maintain, and improve constantly your physical performance. If you're going to be a professional writer, your grammatical control has to be impeccable. If you want to broadcast, you have to be able to pronounce things accurately. Some skills are just required for some functions. Some people have those skills naturally, others may have to work for it.

$30 grand for a BRZ? A grand more and you can have a BMW 2-series. It's got rear-wheel drive as well, but with way more HP and torque.

The Bmw 2 starts at 33 grand. The BRZ starts at 26 grand. The base BRZ has NAV, Hid lights and a limited slip. None of those are on the base BMW 2. The BRZ also is a much lighter car. 750 pounds lighter. To equip the BMW 2 like the Base BRZ you are talking at least 37 grand. Cost to be boss.
@roguedogx9 жыл бұрын
BF3blog well not really. there is no such thing as a BMW that sells for the base price. unless you order it from the factory, odds are it's more like a 5 k difference.
@fatboy198319 жыл бұрын
roguedogx You can find base BMW's. usually at the end of the year. Often you will find a car with just Nav. The dealers stock many base X1's.

this is what I hate, a hot hatch with 200hp, with the help of a turbo, everyone thinks its great, but for a rwd coupe people think its not enough... sure I personally would go for a 2.4lt subaru engine without its turbo for a torqueier 250 hp or an exotic (for today's standards) 3lt v8 for similar or maybe a bit more power... but 200 hp out of a 2lt engine without turbo is still 100hp/lt and for a car that should weigh less than 1200kg thats more than enough...
@wadesloan9 жыл бұрын
Its not really HP its lacking, its torque. Most hot hatches with around 200hp (like the Ford Fiesta ST) have about 50 lb ft more torque than the BRZ's 151.

Mbaze Pashtufu The Genesis Coupe comes in different trim/performance levels so it actually does compare in price at the low end. Most people cross shop these vehicles because they are affordable RWD coupes (not including American muscle cars)

I can't fault this new guy for being a bad reviewer; technically, he wasn't wrong about any of the facts. But he didn't have very many opinions, and whatever opinions he did have, they weren't very interesting, and so the review felt flat and boring. Or maybe, that's the point. After three (four?) years of the Toyobaru, there just isn't anything new that can be said about the car?

VW R is now 295 HP factory------Toyota nd Subaru take the HINT please!

+Mike Smith Agreed. It would be a much more enticing vehicle if it had some more power under the hood. Aesthetically the car looks very similar to a g37 coupe by infiiti, which come with 300hp stock. This car looks really nice, and I'm sure it's a great drive, but it will probably disappoint during those rare moments when you needs more than 200hp or when you want to show off or just have some fun.

worst review in a long time ive seen on cnet. this was more of a subaru script. ive ridden and driven this car on multiple occasions. when he says you will get passsed by a camry, he aint lying. the interior is cheap and small and this is a 2 seater. 200hp at 5-6k rpm and nothing before. worst car ive ever driven. and for 30 grand you are way beter off getting a v6 pony car. better in every way
