If you car continues to randomly stall, an issue the 82 Vettes had was the coolant temp sensor wiring harness. The wire would fray on the motor side of the plug. There is a repair kit which is a 6" wire pigtail and the plug. Kit is only a few dollars. It was a very common issue on the 82's. Most will say the stalling is from the computer or the electronic control module, it's probably the wires on the coolant temp sensor frayed, they will touch, that will tell the computer the car is running cold, the computer will then add gas and flood the motor which will stall a warm motor. Just a tip if it keeps stalling randomly.

Wondering if you have any ideas on what you want to improve as someone that is younger than the usual 80s corvette owner. I just bought an 1980 vet. I think about that empty compartment. If a battery goes in the compartment behind the drivers seat, then the other side could hold something. Love the part when you mentioned people being over 6 feet in this car. Im 6’3, I ordered small seats. Ready to be installed. Hope I’ll be able to slip in and out of this thing like a short chick. I do have the old radio. Won’t take it off. If i want music then I’ll just take my bluetooth speak and turn it on. Connect to my phone. Not everything thats old in this car needs to be taken out just to be taken out.

Honestly my goal is to keep it running as a daily! I love it being all original and my goal is to pretty much keep it that way (besides the underglow 😂). But im learning so much just from doing resto work and i dont think im ready to do any major new mods. Love her how she is. And let me know how the smaller seats go! Havent heard of anyone do that yet

To set the cruise control you just set it to on and then get to your desired speed and then click set with a little button on the side and let off the Excelerator and it should stay at that speed if that doesn’t work then the switch probably is broken.

You don’t need to get your wheels refurbished or whatever that’s only break dust if it was fluid you wouldn’t be able to stop or not as good..just clean them…there are certain things that make it super easy to get off but I always just use an sos pad or Brillo with some soapy water (dawn preferably) and once I get em how I want em I dry them and use this blue magic metal polish and they look pretty good after can’t lie
@classiccardad2 жыл бұрын
Okay so in a previous video ive shown the brake fluid leaking. I can stop fine. Im aware thats just dirt. It has stains on it and up close you can see it.

The era of the > 85 < MPH speedometer. An absolute travesty in the Corvette. I believe the next generation C4 went to a digital version in order to circumvent this NHTSA mandate. BTW - what was your purchase price for this '82 model with 15K miles on the odometer. 🚘 🔍 💰 Many Thanks Yo !

I remember seeing a red version of your car and as awe-inspiring as that looked this colour has a more subtle and elegant tune to it and looks less like it belongs to a 80s pimp. Only thing I personally am not the biggest fan of is the back, which just doesn't look fluid enough to fit in with the rest of the car. Beautiful car tho.
