I removed the smog pump bracket entirely then used shorter bolts on the passenger side of the water pump. All due to your video. Thanks! - and yes, I subscribed.

Hi! I owned an 82 CE 30 years ago. Now I live in Spain and Im buying an 82 CE and having it shipped here. Your videos are so wonderfully unprofessional and educational! Here in Barcelona I know Im asking for trouble owning a vette where there is noone who knows how to work on one. So , I have feeling I´ll be writing you for advice. btw, did switching to C5 chip in the ECU work well in he long run, i.e., acceleration, etc.? Thanks, Steve Howard

Holy crap! You pounding on the back glass. You break something on that back hatch, and it's hard to find and very expensive. A 1 year only design . Who treats a classic car like that?

ive always been told running the rear axle in gear while jacked up is really hard on the half shaft u joints. just something you might want to check into and keep in mind.

Keep beating on that rear hatch glass and you’ll freak out when you gotta buy another one because first of all you can’t find them second of all they are very expensive!

By any chance have you ever had to change the driven gear/seal for the speedometer? I know how to do it, but there doesn't seem to be enough room to do it with the exhaust and tail shaft support in place. Any insight to taking any of those off would be greatly appreciated!

Awesome video. I’m working on doing this to my C3. Rear rims too hot to touch just driving to nearby gas station due to E brakes frozen stuck so replacing them. Wondering how u were able to remove caliper and hang it since that line doesn’t flex (steel). Did u loosen something? Also around 18:42 you’re burnishing the ebrakes right? Also, Careful blowing air when working near brakes. U don’t want to breathe brake dust in. Clean with liquid brake cleaner instead.

Good stuff. GM columns can be a pain, especially Corvette tilt and telescopic units. I need to take my 85 Vette column apart to fix the key in ignition buzzer.

Great video. I am working on my '79 parking brakes. I saw that during your testing the park/e brake the wheels only slowed down and didn't stop completely. Is this normal for these cars? Mine is manual transmission and will only slow the wheel speed in first gear. I thought they should be able to kill the engine. Are these really not that strong? More adjustment needed? 👽🐍

The drum brakes arent strong at all, throwing it in neutral can help slow it down more though.
