When I refloored my trailer , I put no screws in the boards. The boards are held in by the angle iron , front and rear. I made the rear piece of angle iron removable ( bolt in with 3 bolts ).

What kind of rust converter did you use? I'm looking at a couple & the one you applied looked similar to one of the ones I've been considering for my trailer rehab.

I believe it was called corroseal.

This style is fairly common between a few manufacturers. I want to say this one was a Perri brand.

Sand blasting it is way quicker bud ive done a lot of trailers and you will save a lot of hrs if you set up a blaster to remove all that scale and surface rust
