Sadly, it's a bit of a double edged sword with helmets. People often die, because of the helmet. I knew a guy who always wore a helmet when he rode, until he got hit and his helmet came off and immediately imploded. Had his head been in it at the time, it would've gone into his skull. People in the comments need to keep in mind these cameras aren't meant to be 100% distance accurate, more to pick up as much as possible. Things seem closer or farther depending on a variety of factors, from brand, to model, to settings, etc. Speed and how much room/distance things seem are the biggest elements that can be a bit misleading for sure.

If you referring to the accident at 5:58, that is a sport bike, not a scooter. As far as helmets, not all states require them, and the "Bikers" in the states that do often just wear DOT beanies. The blue car must have veered into the oncoming lane instead of slowing down, because the silver car stopped just past the double yellow line. Too bad the blue car didn't commit to his decision pass in front, but rather return to his proper lane. This whole scenario could have been avoided if either a) blue car committed to his decision. b) blue car slowed. c) blue car didn't speed. d) silver car committed to turn. e) silver car just waited. Looks like the introduction of two impatient drivers.
