That’s kind of the same thing isn’t it? The “bloated price” that actually sells IS the market value. We’re not talking about a few outlier sales that went for over value. range anxiety is not the issue. The number one thing you never hear about on the news, Is that tens of millions of Americans live in apartments with no garages. They cannot charge at home. So their only option is charging stations which take an hour to fully charge compared to a gas station in 2 minutes.
@xboy4331Ай бұрын

Interesting listening to these guys trying to understand why EV struggle in the Midwest. Then go on to acknowledge cross country trips take an extra day due to charging. Midwest is often referred to as "fly over country". Long drives are typical, not rare here. 200 mile drive to meet a family member for a birthday lunch then 200 miles back home isn't a big deal in rural areas. Factor in Sub Zero temperatures for months on end and even a 1 hour trip into the city and back for dinner is too much for the typical ev battery.

You are correct except Doug isn't that innocent either as much as his personality fools people. He's got a lot of competing interests with cars and bids and still will advertise certain cars, review them during auction and other things to manipulate the market of his own auctions by cross promoting on his main channel. He cannot give an honest take on mclaren and says they are not for the enthusiast like a Ferrari or Porsche is! Modern Ferrari and Porsche cars are arguably so overvalued, especially gt3rs cars at 450k. The 720s only had 8000 cars produced and it dominated all the cars in its class. Ferrari came out with the pista and fast forwarded the f8 tributo to be competitive and the pista has 4000 units as a "limited car" going for like 700k under that perception. There are over 25k huracans, endless 488s and F8s and the entire super sports category from mclaren only had 8000 produced over 6 years. A lot of these influencers just parrot the same crap over and over and then are surprised when vipers take off in value when they couldn't even be given away. Same will happen to mclaren too.

I adore my 20yr old over 260k Toyota Sienna. She is such a work horse. I just maintain her well and get every repair at the dealer. Don’t come for me using the dealer for repairs. Aftermarket generic replacement parts have screwed me before, the quality is no longer there. My minivan may only be worth $500 but the body is fabulous and a used car costs more than even major repairs. I think all cars made after 2011 are 💩 anyway. I went over 250k before major repairs on major original parts. I took my old Volvo station wagon to 1M miles and I think the Sienna will go the distance 😊

@TheSH1N1GAM1 smh that is awful. Couldn't they do more important things like make sure people drive safely. Thats up to the person driving the car. They have done that to me when I don't make payments on my car. Next, you're going to tell me they'll ban porn and books. It's my car, I have the right to do what I want with it. Just like my body. @Nb61777Ай бұрын
@@anthonyfiorella1the slower speeds around schools is because children are not adults yet. @anthonyfiorella1Ай бұрын
@Nb61777 so it doesn't impede on people's freedom if they set specific speed limits around schools? Now I'm confused. You seemed to be very against them not allowing you to speed in a school zone. The Ford Nucleon was a concept car that was only build on a small scale and never actually fitted with a working reactor. It would have used a molten salt reactor at the back that would have never had to be refueled. I think there are better ways of powering a car with nuclear energy, In france a lot of cars are already running on nuclear power. 70% of their electricity grid is nuclear powered, so many EV's there are atomic cars haha.

@@robnanneman i think his problem is people buying them who don't need to be in a suv and would be good in a sedan. If you need the space, great. But in America the avg passager count in cars is like 1.5 people.
