CAR WASH | Ryko UltraClean! | Mobil Porirua

Today I had a go in the LAST Ryko UltraClean in Wellington, at Mobil Porirua, which is (supposedly) due for replacement in the near future. This awesome old machine doesn't quite work like it used to, but with replacement planned for the near future, I guess they're just nursing it along until it is eventually replaced.

They're usually at 7-Elven petrol stations in the NSW, VIC & QLD state of Australia

Great video and this is the second ultra clean I have seen where they have kinda messed up the brushes the right rear wash arm they put the brushes together upside down u can see the one section where there Is a tong of the filament then under is u can see the gaps in them that is supposed to be at the very bottom with the gapped portion facing upwards u can notice it when the wash starts at the rear of the car and when it's by your mirror and 16 bucks a wash is kinda much for this system in NY the most is like 10-12 dollars

You have to remember that $16 is in New Zealand Dollars, which is equivalent to only $10.53 in US Dollars. In actual fact, this is at the cheaper end of Car Washes in Wellington.

There aren't any BP stations operating UltraClean's. There are a couple running Premier XL's though - Pahiatua and Invercargill.

All old Ryko machines in New Zealand were installed with Dryers (including the UltraClean, Premier XL and Monarch II models). I think all Rollovers in New Zealand have on-board drying as well. It's just the way its always been. Kiwi's like their dryers, and they like them to be on-board.

@@jonathanscarwashadventures3893 The belief in Aus used to be that the hot Aussie weather would be enough to dry the cars. Nowadays that's not the case, and probably also because most (or maybe even all washes) now come with dryers as the standard option, whether that be on or off-board. We're very much like Europe in NZ and have a preference for on-board drying (I also prefer on-board drying).
