Caracal kittens at the Oregon Zoo

Caracals are elusive African wild cats. On June 18, 2011, Peggy and Cricket, a breeding pair at the "Predators of the Serengeti" exhibit at the Oregon Zoo, had a litter of kittens. The Oregon Zoo received a breeding recommendation from the Association of Zoos and Aquariums for Cricket and Peggy. Watch as keepers monitor the health of the newborns and first-time mom Peggy provides care for her kittens.

It's a shame they have to be born in the zoo but they're protected and that's what makes you feel good I don't like it that they're born in a cage but there are protected and they're like kings and queens there immortalized in there not beating down like the other kittens and kings and queens of the Jungle or they'll be taken care of very well

They are so cute that it almost makes me want one, but unfortunately they're still wild animals even though they look docile in the video. So, they wouldn't be good pets. Plus, they would probably be a lot more expensive than house cat breeds if it were possible to adopt them anyway.
