I am from Spain and started going to Caracas Right after the pandemic. Excellent City. I went Jack in 2023. Great restaurants and nightlife. I used my Spanish bank card everywhere without problem. Can you do a video about Margarita too ?

@@SenorJuan2023it's waaaaay better than before. Most of the migration actually helped the city to feel more safe. Ofc people still need to be cautious in a reasonable way and things still happen. But nowhere near as much as before

Finally someone who talks about the Good side of Caracas. I have been in Caracas for almost three months now and I can say that what this guy says is 100% true. I love Caracas, it is super underrated. You should mention how the city is actually pretty safe now. Beautiful and fun city. By the way, I am from Quebec, and I loved the sentence in French.

The private clubs he talks about are great as well. Foreigners, especially Europeans are starting to come back to the city. More videos about Venezuela please

I am Swiss and love Caracas , I go there many times and it is nothing like you might imagine from the news. I am even consider to move there, you can find everything you need and as long as you don’t go to dangerous zones , which every mayor city has I don’t feel that it is dangerous and has a good quality of life. I can confirm that everything Javier says it’s true , Caracas has improved over the last year substantially. 😊

Appreciate the video, an important topic is political risk. You buy property in Vzla but is there enough stability and, more importantly, a history of reliable stability, to give the investor confidence in long term property rights etc? I'm not sure we are there yet.

Oh là là; he speaks French! I like this guy: he's eloquent, gives good information without beating around the bush, and is succinct. One thing though: _multi-_ is pronounced "multee" not "multai", and _route_ is pronounced identically to "root" not "rout" (which means something totally different).

Re: pronunciation.. it depends on region. All of those versions can be correct within the USA at least. Even within the same city.

@captainleisuresuit
@captainleisuresuit 25 күн бұрын
Interesting approach. I do hope that you do not teach English as a second language. The object of pronunciation is to be best understood by your intended audience. Thus, the pronunciation should simply approximate the pronunciation of the audience. I can assure you that all of the North American audience watching this video cares not about "multee" vs "multi", "root" vs "rout", "tomayto" vs "tomahto", or any other countless other English examples. I feel compelled to point this out for the benefit of anybody watching who may speak English as a second language. It's a confusing and messy language, but thankfully, very flexible and forgiving as well.
@tstcikhthys
@tstcikhthys 25 күн бұрын
@@captainleisuresuit ...and to be correct. I would actually hope that about you. The point of teachers and teaching is to teach people (who don't know any better) the correct way. When one knows that something is wrong and yet doesn't teach people the proper way, instead opting for an "anything goes" approach, it defeats the purpose and leads to a status quo such as with the speaker in the video. The irony is that pronunciation _does_ matter. Your examples of _multi-_ and _route_ are not in the same group as _tomato,_ so it's a false equivalency. In at least one of those cases ("route"), the incorrect pronunciation changes the meaning completely. It seems that you're confusing dialectal pronunciation differences with outright incorrect pronunciations. In the latter category, basically any language in the world is "flexible" in that your audience has a certain amount of "forgiving ability" for mispronunciations for non-native speakers. But just because your audience can understand you (i.e., forgive your mistakes) doesn't mean you're speaking correctly.

@@O_ObserverBut compared to Caracas, even Rio and the Northeast of Brazil like Salvador seems like heaven. I agree that southern Brasil is much better, I would avoid São Paulo, city and now with all the problems with the flood, Rio Grande do Sul, for Brazil is only Curitiba and Santa Catarina and maybe some towns in São Paulo state. I never been but I heard also that Campo Grande and Goiânia are not that bad.
