As a Swiss and European, I would choose any South American country. South America was not or only slightly involved in the two world wars and was therefore very suitable for a refuge, and basic supplies are also secure.

@@ch3rrikiss That's right, but you shouldn't forget that there are three key players in the world who can influence the future of a country, be it through development, global taxation or other things. Unfortunately, every country other than the three is influenced in some way by one of the three.

@@ch3rrikisswich country? And what you consider instability? There are some bad examples as Venezuela. But the majority of the south american countries still stable in terms of democracy. Just take a look into Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, Chile and soon on. Of course that there are populism and polarity in South America and it is a fact but this is what we can see around the world. As a brazilian the places I recomend are Brazil south region (Santa Catarina, Paraná and Rio Grande do Sul), Uruguay, Argentina, Paraguay and Chile. And avoid big cities, go to country side cities.

This really hit home in 2020. As a Canadian, our freedoms were really restricted and the government really didn't inspire me to stay. My wife and I were in Nicaragua at the time when the pandemic was starting, their attitude was way better towards the vaccination choices. It was sad that I felt safer in a third world country than a first world country. The other thing that resonated with me was the fact that you don't have to worry about good quality food in that country. In Canada, 5 months out of the year, you need to import nearly every type of food as opposed as Nicaragua, you just drop a seed in the ground and it will grow.

I'm Brazilian and I live in the south of my country. There are great places to live here, especially small towns with a strong influence of Italian and German immigration. My wife and son have Portuguese as their second nationality. I could go in search of Italian based on the origins of my ancestors but I opted for Portuguese due to marriage. I always advise people to have a second nationality. Having a second nationality such as Argentine or Brazilian also has the advantage of allowing you to move or live more easily in any Mercosur country.

@@bigtime911 Of the three states in the Southern Region of Brazil, the best are currently in the State of Santa Catarina. Especially cities in the West. Regarding cities closer to the coast, I would recommend Jaragua do Sul, which also has a strong German influence as in the West. Some from the interior of the State of Rio Grande do Sul and Paraná as well, which have a strong Italian influence. But in terms of states, the best currently is Santa Catarina. And they are closer to Uruguay, Paraguay and Argentina, with easy access. What would I absolutely not recommend to foreigners? The State of São Paulo (except for some small cities in the interior), Rio de Janeiro and regions above on the map. Don't be fooled by tourist propaganda. Rio de Janeiro is disorganized and has high crime. The State of Santa Catarina has great beaches. I would even say better than those in Rio de Janeiro.

War profiteering is a morbid reality, but it's not the reason for all wars. And it's definitely not the reason for world wars. War is basically a tool of negotiation. And it's usually centers of power trying to assert their influence or access to resources. One reason Americans enjoy so much wealth is because the US is extremely successful in using violence to assert it's influence.

Not "all" wars but I agree that the crusades were the last moral just wars. The wars from WW1 onwards until today were immoral and unjust. I'm excluding Putin's special peace-keeping operation which is a just moral crusade that stopped the genocide by Ukraine's Nazis and the West's EU and US fascists (Obama, Kerry, Biden, McCaine) but which the German Fascist Empire "EU" are trying to escalate into WW3 to complete Hitler's dream of "a European Empire dominated by Germany under a socialist tyranny expanded to annex Ukraine away from Russia as the German race needs room to grow". The Demonrats and RINOs are keen to have perpetual wars of regime change trying to topple anyone who isn't a puppet of global socialist billionaires, whilst personally enriching themselves with their shares in weapons manufacturers and investments in war funds by Blackrock and VanEck.

South America always has been a safe bet through history. Ireland and Switzerland can afford to be neutral because they are surrounded by countries which belong to Nato and they are at peace with them but they can be easily destroyed if they are attacked. Geography is all that matters in case of disaster. When we were in Argentina, the people in my town would greet my partner with “wilkommen!” And ask him right away if he was German, some would try to talk to us just out of curiosity for him. The Republic of Ireland (ROI) may not be a good option due to its proximity to the UK and facing similar social problems. The ROI is supposed to be neutral but its neutrality has been compromised by being part of the EU who are proceeding forward with defence structures and creating a military. It is essentially the Germany of old by other means and with a different name. Even before the ROI joined the EU, and despite not being part of NATO, it already had its ports on the nuclear target list in the event of an exchange with NATO because the Soviets didn't want those ports being used by the UK or NATO as a backup after a major conflict and exchange. I know that Cork, Drogheda, Dublin, Waterford, Bantry, Shannon Foynes, and Galway are all likely still on the nuclear hit list. That is a lot of population areas of the ROI. Both the UK and the ROI would be a no-go area after WW3 because there wouldn't be many bits of land remaining that didn't suffer the initial blasts and consequences from the subsequent fallout. London would likely be hit with three nukes. And other sizeable UK cities with two. All the airports, sea ports and military bases and infrastructure would be hit. There were articles in the British press a number of years ago saying that Whitby would be one of the places that would be okay to be in after WW3 but what they failed to take into account is that it is right next to Fylingdales in Yorkshire which is an early warning radar station which would almost certainly be one of the first things to be hit so I think that was very bad advice from the tabloids. Any survivors would have to evacuate and likely leave both countries after such a scenario. Anyone caught up in it would need to stay indoors and preferably underground for at least three days after and preferably one to two weeks. And they would need to take Potassium Iodide or Iodate tablets straight away. The UK is one of the few countries in Europe that has not distributed the tablets to households for such an event since Russia invaded Ukraine. It would not be possible to get them after it would be too late then. The best countries to head to after would be ones that can support and feed their populations without relying on imports. There are not too many if any of them in the Northern Hemisphere that wouldn't have been caught up in WW3 and the aftermath of it. The best countries to head to are all in the Southern Hemisphere. I suspect the Royal Family would be evacuated to parts of Canada that hadn't been affected or more likely to Australia or New Zealand.

@destinationmax
@destinationmax Жыл бұрын
@@michaelbaker5501 Not really. It makes perfect sense today as it did before. Visa free travel to Brazil was only in place from 2019 till 2023. If you have 2k in your bank and can pay an $80 application fee that’s good for unlimited travel to Brazil for 10 years, then what’s the big deal? Many other countries are not spoiled by visa free travel as the USA is. That is changing and if war breaks out, even more so. USA is also losing their credibility with other places right now due to a few factors that is discussed frequently by Andrew on this channel. They also want to detour the people that are coming, maybe overstaying, and being a burden instead of contributing. Broke Passport bros culture is just about over also. They had this in place before 2019 and it in no way caused a loss of tourism or money. Quite the opposite. It’s about quality, not quantity. Finally, Brazil is the 7th largest economy in the world with a Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of U$2.4 trillion-equivalent to more than 40% of Latin America's economy. Brazil is the 7th largest consumer market in the world and by 2023 will be the 5th. In the last decade, 30 million Brazilians ascended to the middle class. U.S. Americans are arrogant and entitled to think we should always have visa free travel everywhere. Brazilians have a very difficult time traveling now to the USA because of Brazilians who violated their visa agreements with the United States in just 2017. Had the US not made it difficult to get a visa in the first place I suspect the visa overstay would be substantially higher. The US is not the only country that does this. The Philippines, for example, allows citizens of most first and second world countries to enter visa-free. However, citizens of India have an unusually high overstay rate which is why The Philippines requires Indians to get a visa to go there. It has nothing to do with race or anything like that. It’s all about the numbers. If your country has a high number of people breaking the rules then the authorities have to take action to reduce the amount of rule-breaking. I hope this helps.

Andrew, I love your videos and I think you are most of the time correct in your information. But on this video you mis stated what the new President of Argentina has said or done. I have been following what goes on in Argentina for three years now. I watch their news channels all the time. Here are the facts: 1) He has never said that he wanted to pick up the Falkland Islands issue. He had stated that he was an admirer of Margaret Thatcher and the opposition used this to try to label him as not recognizing the Falklands as Argentinian. He was asked over and over by the press and he responded that he respects the constitution which states that the Falklands are Argentinian. He never said that he would make this an issue. He did say a couple of times that the issue has to be negotiated. Argentina has too many problems to be focusing on this issue. If you followed what is going on in Argentina you would see this. 2) Regarding trading with Brazil or any other country including China and Russia, the president has stated that he is an ardent anti communist. However due to his libertarian beliefs, he has stated that his government will not make trade deals. It is up to each private Argentinian business to negotiate and do business with whomever they choose. Government should not dictate who you do business with. He has stated his distaste for the current president of Brazil but he has not prohibited anyone from doing business with Brazil.

One consideration for myself is that Canada has the ability to freeze assets and bank accounts, meaning I could be bled dry of every penny for leaving during a war. I have considering accumulating more Bitcoin as it is one of the very few "assets" that can survive such. The gov would have to breach dozens of international laws to get my bitcoin wallet seed from my brain

Lots of issues with Brasil that Andrew doesn't discuss. While Andrew always advocates multiple passports, its essential if one's main passport is Brasil. I certainly wouldn't want to be a resident of Brasil now.
@TheSimArchitect
@TheSimArchitect Жыл бұрын
@@mtngrl5859 True. It's a great second passport. Not your "only one" (was mine for decades). We're seen as cockroaches that like to shoplift overseas. And I am unsure if the fame isn't justified, having lived there for more than 35 years on and off (and leaving). There's many positives in Brazil, to be honest. But there's also very bad positives that make living there quite problematic. If you are in São Paulo or other larger civilized cities you need a bulletproof car and a very secure house, and very planned behavior. If you're wealthy, oh my, then you also need private security, probably. Medical care is really excellent in the private sector (including top tier insurance, so go there if you want to cure your cancer or something like that) Cosmetic procedures are also reliable and excellent. Food is good and VERY cheap. And it's not bland like in Europe or woke like in other countries that might want to serve you worms or organ meat. They're VERY european centric friendly. They're just like an European country that evolved but without becoming wealthy, so they're desperate for money and will roll their red carpet for much less than a "developed country" would. People can be nice. But people can be awful. There. If I liked it enough and if it were safe enough I'd move there. I hate the music and the over sexualization of things over there. I was more isolated there, being a native, than I am in The Netherlands, without knowing the language. At least here I am white like everybody else so they don't make fun of me (or try to rob me) because of my skin color. There, I said it. Make your choices wisely. We only live once (or so I hope).

Just a quick note. The Netherlands is safe and calm but VERY depressing and with terrible health care and other services. Their welfare system makes workers lazy as hell and they treat you like 💩almost everywhere. People are very rude and disrespectful around the most basic things like queuing and personal space. Their food sucks (unless you buy the ingredients and cook it yourself) and everything is insanely expensive in comparison with other places. They take the joy out of everything to force people to be "healthy" and "environmentally conscious" here. I am shopping around because I had enough of The Netherlands. Next likely stop is Ireland. If not, I don't know. Maybe Canada, or death. I feel like I am running out of options and I am too lazy to learn another language, sorry.

10:07 probably the best way of nationalism is that which seeks to accumulate, preserve and protect the best cultural, artistic and scientific traits of its national origin by staying open minded, mobile and detached from one's territorial/political origins while contributing to the welcoming country. I feel great admiration for groups like the Jews whom by following this principle have managed to endure the harshest social and political circumstances throughout history, preserving their essence while building institutions, companies or even various forms of cultural manifestations which have considerably nurtured the countries which have had the privilege of hosting them.
