Yep! I’m about to move to a salon with more natural lightening and get away from the fluorescent bulbs that have been ruining my photos for seven years! So pumped! Natural lighting is definitely 🔑

This is pretty. You do good work. And I love your jeans. I wish I could work without an apron. I'm too messy😆. My fav shades eq toners for brassy box color corrections are the greens...8gn, 6gn. They counter the red tones perfectly. But, I find that I always have to open up the cuticle first. At least with a bleach/shampoo cap. Toners won't touch permanent color much, especially box color.

Nice. I so agree about lighting. Every time I do mine or someone else's hair it always looks so different in natural light lol.

I have the same problem with the photos! I find that the ring light makes the root look so much darker/ashy than it is in real life. This is beautiful! Love your work

I have a similar situation for my client coming in tomorrow!! I’m just wondering why did you go in and tone the roots again with the 7p, for the teasing part basically? Thank you! So beautiful 😍

I had a stylist mess up my color by giving me highlights that were too red - after I had told her in advance I didn’t want them to be reddish, but a warm Caramel and honey. When I took the wig back to fix, she was really bitchy about it and told me that if she made it less red, it would be ashy. I told her I still wanted it to be warm blondes and browns, just not that reddish auburn color. I didn’t really believe that it wasn’t possible to take red out of a wig without making an ashy, but I got back a wig with super flat, ashy color. It was a $500 wig plus expensive color, and I can’t even wear it. The stylist refuses to fix it. Why did she not know how to do this? Note - I live in Liberia, and the stylist is from Switzerland. Shouldn’t she know these things, or is this super hard to do?

Man that to bad that the red house reflects so much... I heard ya about lighting. I have only one window in my salon area and I work a lot of evening hours sooo taking photos was a struggle. Broke down and started using a ring light. I really love mine. It actually looks very turn to outdoor lighting. Good work!!

Love it Lexi. Totally worth the work and I GET IT with the lighting......i have the WORSE lighting at my station as well. No natural light.. I'm at the back of the salon and there's track lighting, soffit lighting and ceiling lights all SUPER WARM!!! I walk them to the front of the salon where there is windows. The struggle is real!

Awesome! And validating. 😅 I specifically asked a very egotistical hairdresser to give me warm honey and caramel highlights on a brown wig. I told her in advance I didn’t want them to be reddish. I got the wig back and to my chagrin, the highlights were super red. When I politely said it wasn’t what I’d asked for, the stylist acted like I was being a brat and haughtily told me that if I wanted less red, the color would be ashy. I told her I thought there must be a way to make hair less red without having to sacrifice warmth. I sent pictures of what I meant. When I got the wig back, of course the hair was super ashy. She got it so wrong I wondered if she was just being bitchy. 😅
