Caran d'Ache Neocolor II | Relaxing Swatching

Love it. ii made a water color travel palette out of a stay wet 36-well lipstick box on a mazon, chopped up a bit of each, about 1/5th of each stick, & added distilled water. 3 weeks later most are melted but some are chunky. By adding water before use or as ii start, along w/3 water brushes, mixing is easy. The gouache type colors layer with many other media, but ii had to remember these pigments are wax based & microns do not work well on top, so they go down first, & posca markers work perfectly as a top layer over neo 2's. Wow, how wonderful! Thank you for sharing this as it might be helpful for other people as well! It's good to know that the posca markers work well over the neocolor 2s. When I sharpen mine, I place the shavings on a ceramic palette and add some water to turn them into paint.
