I'v been in love with this design since Ferrari brought out the concept, I see no flaw what so ever in the design of this car I dare say this car is highly a top 3 in the best designed vehicles this world has ever seen. With that being said I remember when I was younger playing the Gran Turismo series and this road was on the many roads I would choose to race in. 1) because it's in Italy ( beautiful country ) 2) those freaking S turns and dangerous yet excitement filled hairpins. In the read world their are 3 cars that I would love to drive this road in. 1) being the 458/488 Italia, 2) 911 Turbo and 3) a Mustang. With the first two it would be a finesse just by how a driver would come in contact with this road with both the 911 and the 458 and the other being the Mustang , throw that ass out and let it devour those S turns the only way an american car can. Hearing that burble and loud exhaust accelerating its like music to my ears.
@SangheiliSpecOp9 жыл бұрын
+David Lopez What were the other two cars you would want to drive? And I agree, the 458 really is one of the most beautiful car designs ever. I just love Italian cars to death. The 458 and the Aventador are my dream cars. Some people call the Aventador childish and too much but to me it is such a seamless blend of being radical while also being timeless. No other car will ever match the Aventador's look in my opinion.
@SilentMovements3059 жыл бұрын
Michelangelo Hamato The 911 and a Mustang. The Aventador is one sexy car man.
@SangheiliSpecOp9 жыл бұрын
+David Lopez The Aventador and 458 are the two ultimate Italian cars. Well I mean theres a few more models from them and of course theres Pagani but still. And interesting that you say a Mustang, which year? I love Mustangs, I have a fully modded out 2008 GT that I use as my daily driver. I am always doing something to the car. :p This may sound absolutely stupid but I always thought of Mustangs and Lamborghinis as being somehow related... I mean the build processes are obviously different but both lines have a long history that only started a few years apart, both stick to big naturally asperated engines, and well anyways I probably sound dumb so I'll stop XD
@SilentMovements3059 жыл бұрын
Michelangelo Hamato No man its cool to hear that,its a first for someone to say Mustang and Lamborghini's are somewhat related. I seriously thought you would laugh at me when I mentioned the Mustang ( i'v loved Mustangs since birth ). In my opinion I would love to drive either the 2000 Cobra R, GT350R, Boss Luagna Seca or the Saleen S-351 what you think ?
@SangheiliSpecOp9 жыл бұрын
+David Lopez Mustangs are awesome! Why would I laugh? They have such a big history. I never understood why it seems that the whole Internet amd everyone I meet in person hates Mustangs or talks down at then. They have the biggest aftermarket following of any car in the world and some have called them the "lego set" of cars. You can do anything you want to them and they are relatively cheap to begin with and always have a nice naturally asperated engine. Since I always loved Italian exotics, I always thought the ultimate Mustang would have a screaming high revving V8, so you can imagine how happy I was to see they were putting a 500hp plus neutrally aspirated flat plane crank V8 in the Shelby GT350R. That would have to be my pick, it's the ultimate Mustang.

Have you ever been there? Sure, in July and August its very very populated. But as you can see the video has been made in the morning. And if you drive there between 6 and 9 am and 6 and 9 pm there is pretty much nobody, absolutley nobody. And yes, i have been there many times, just like on other famous roads in the alps. its just about the time when you are going there.

I drove the Stelvio on my way home from lake Como in September 2016 at around 9-10pm due to an accident on the road I wanted to take initially and in total I saw 3 or 4 cars there. I’ve been there during the day too and I’d say if you go there pretty early or rather late there’s very little traffic and it’s very enjoyable to drive

I have driven the Stelvio, (only in a pug 207sw diesel) But seriously in reality you just cannot get much speed up the Stelvio! It is packed with bikers,cyclists and other normal cars. You would be wasting your time taking a Ferrari and expecting to drive fast. The whole time it took me to drive up and down the other side i got to about 70mph 3 times (would have been 130mph ish for a split second in something fast) as the traffic was crazy on an average wednesday afternoon! It is definately worth driving whatever you own on the Stelvio though. Instant goosebumps and unbelievable scenery. DO IT PEOPLE....REALLY ;)

How ironic really when you realize that this was the road that was used to film the F355 when it was launched back in the mid-90's. The clip of the 355 Berlinetta driving on the pass has been used numerous times in the old Top Gear and Jeremy Clarkson's old DVDs. Awesome video btw way! The sound of that naturally aspirated V8s is eargasmic!

As far as I'm concerned, this is much better than a TG review, which would undoubtedly feature only one boring location (the test track) and a disjointed, incoherent attempt at 'cutting edge' editing and overblown audio with ridiculous, only semi-relevant dialogue. Top Gear has become a caricature of itself. Thank you C&D for giving us honesty in journalism.
