This just proves this shit is very addictive. This boat sounds sick already i can only imagine with that amp. I'm dying for the guy with the big truck u just did to add a amp he definitely will benefit from it. if you put a nut on your bolt before you cut it, you will fix the threads taking the nut off the bolt. then you don't have to file or grind the bolt to put a nut on it. I learned that installing at car dealers in the 70's and not having a grinder on hand. but I do have 17 years in retail stores too. Hey that about your age almost. Never lose the attitude! I like it your excited and customers see that. And you have fun at your job, thats key is doing it long term. Why when I started installing we have to change tubes in the radios and we'd install under dash record players until somone invented 4 track tape players. then came 8 track, and cassette then CD" WOW Keep in mind I'm an Audiofile I don't use clip lights on amps to set the system up. Did you know Yamaha made car stereos at one time?

I have a TM400x4ad Amplifier with TMS69 and TMS65 speakers, and my source unit is the Rockford fosgate Bluetooth receiver, how can I get a CLEAN set-up because I don’t have a head unit for my motorcycle. Can you guide me?

Great video, can you explain how you hooked the pmx2 to the amp. The mpx2 shows there is a 2 rca output front, and a 2 rca output for sub. It looked liked you used both outputs to the amp?

What is the track you used when you tested the amp...

The head really shouldn’t be set at 100% output when tuning the amp. 75-85% depending on the source then locked in with a limiter. It prevents maximum output distortion at the head unit. Also, these speakers can see a lot more juice than that amp can give them. Especially in the M2 series that replaced them. The speakers in this video are 200RMS and the new ones are 250RMS. The amp is only 100-125 RMS.

Thanks for the videos on the Rockford Install. This maybe a longshot, but do you happen to know the size of the source unit? I have looked through the owner's manual and all I could find was the size of the hole that needed to be drilled through the panel/dash, but not the size of the face.

You can fin the test tone as "1khz tone" in KZbin, I would recommend you to do a research for a reliable KZbin audio downloader, whey you download the 1 khz test tone, play it from your device, it could be aux, Bluetooth or usb into your head unit plugged to your amplifier but your speakers unplugged, remember to set your eq flat, no bass from the head unit and start setting the volume up while checking for clipping indicator in the amp

But remember, check the 1khz tune just for the head unit with the amp gain set to the minimum. Once the max head unit volume with no clipping has set, with the same 1khz test tone and the volume set in your head unit you can start turning up the gain set until reaches the clipping light red then turn down a bit til turn blue, same process with each channel. And you are ready to go man

Finally, when you get all set, turn down the volume in your head unit, turn off and plug in the speakers, turn on back your head unit, stream any song and check if there is any distortion, if it is I would recommend you to set up your amp gain just a little bit almost nothing, when you can play any song free from distortion now You can start tuning the audio from the head unit, if for some reason you don't like you can tune from amp Frequency or amp punch eq, any questions let me know!
