Adding a couple of new USB sockets has been our job today in the awful weather. You did a great job - looks good! David & Rachel

Great stuff, how did you get on ? You can never have too many power sockets these days lol. We’ve just bought an AFERIY 2000w Solar Generator for a really good price, so can power a lot more things now. Can try the caravan electrics out too on hook up :).

Nice little upgrade to the caravan 👍 maybe put the solar panel, charger and battery that was on that hide onto to caravan for an off grid system? All the best Damo

Hello mate, we actually bought a second battery for the caravan, one charges in Barneys Tower while the other is in the caravan. We have quick release buckles on both batteries so it’s easy to swap them over :). Where the caravan is, under the trees and under the marquee, it just wouldn’t get enough solar. The tower is perfectly placed for Solar most of the day :).

Thanks Donny ! Need to sort the joins out behind, it’s bugging me knowing it’s like that lol. Otherwise it went ok I guess lol. The stepper drill moving off the curve of the blanking plate was a bit unforeseen ! Ah well it’s done now ;).

Not a disaster bro and was good to see another video from you, I am guessing there is a solar panel for power in the caravan. Safe travels, Ken.

Thanks Ken :). We have two batteries for the caravan and quick clamps connecting them. One battery is on the caravan and the other is on charge on Barneys Tower. Takes two minutes to swap them over. Where the caravan is, it doesn’t get much Solar except at the end of the day for an hour or so. Barneys tower on the other hand gets solar most of the day :). Hope you are well mate.

Great way to re-purpose old and now largely redundant outlets. Better than just throwing out the whole outlet. If you wanted to disguise the gap between the usb sockets you could run a black permanent marker in the middle. Mind you, I don't think you'd take much notice. Textbook adapting to overcome 💪.. Also, caravan looks wonderful. I think you were right to upgrade.

Thank you Ant :). We love that caravan. It might be 20 years old but honestly it’s like new inside. Next job is mouse proofing it I think. It’s fine everywhere except the gas cupboard at the front. Need to put some mesh in there and seal the sides with silicone. I spray peppermint spray around the feet and wheels as a deterrent too. Good idea about the marker !

Hello Damon 🙋♂️. Hope you are good !! Is that the same caravan that was in your field a long time ago - that was home 🏠 to the mice 🐁 and Joe when he visited and did not use his tent ⛺️ 🔥 ?? It 👀 looks very smart inside !! Is Joe history now - or do I just miss the YT Vids he in ?? Thanks 🙏 Take care and stay safe 🫶 James ✌️

Hi James, you need to catch up on some videos lol. This caravan replaced the old one earlier this year. It’s 20 years old but has been really well looked after. We got a bargain. Joe is still around but finds it difficult to come on camps these days, because he doesn’t want to put Rocco through the really long journey via train etc. Rocco is getting on a bit now and doesn’t it enjoy it anymore. If he can find a sitter for Rocco he may come to a future camp, but understandably it’s usually just easier not to come. Barney was like that as he got older. He just didn’t enjoy the camps, so I stopped bringing him sadly.
