Caravan fridge door fix, Dometic 8500 series. Part 2.

follow on to part 1. The door catch costs £36. The piece of angled fitting was salvaged from an old wardrobe wall fixing.
Total cost 36 quid plus your own time.

Good video what is measurement of bracket you used and where did you buy it from thanks

I actually got the bracket with a wardrobe that I purchased and this bracket was for fixing the wardrobe to the wall but I never used it and had it lying in my tool box 😂. It's probably 10 or 15 cm long max on each side. It wouldn't be hard to knock one up. Maybe check a local hardware shop or b&q and you should find one. 👍🏼

About 10 or 12mm long. Not to big.

@@franyoung5603 the metal angle was from a wardrobe fixing that holds the wardrobe to the wall. I expect you could get one in B&Q or a hardware store. The fridge catch I ordered off eBay. I hope this helps.

@@franyoung5603 what you'll find is the metal hinge that holds the door is fine. It's the plastic hole on top of the door that is at fault, that's why I put the metal bracket on to hold the door. The catch itself can be found on eBay.
