Didn't realise Oz had a freesat like system as here in the UK. seems you can receive all the regional channels also then

We've had sat tv in various forms for almost 20years that im aware of. The current VAST free to air system is far more mainstream than the earlier offerings. VAST rolled out around 10 years ago.

@@Vagare aha freesat started here about 15 years ago. So you get all regional versions of 7 9 and 10 etc ?

@@digitalmediafan yes, the full array of all the commercial channels along with ABC and SBS. VAST is a pre-programmed set top box, not like the manual tuner we used to use. Although not technically required, with the significant timezone shifts across the country, its easier to reset the timezone when travelling so we're not watching the 6 oclock news at 9

Hey MatteHatt. Out of interest have you tried a different brand unit, or SatKings newer model. I believe Strong now have one. Ive simply only started with SatKings and I certainly dont endorse them over the other options, although i haven't experienced any issues (touch wood).
