I loved this look through. When you shoot intro videos in the van, I was always trying to work out which way the van was laid out. The never ending saga of his, his, his, then hers, hers, hers, hers, hers, hers, hers, hers, hers and also hers for the drawers and cupboards.

Thanks guys, about to sell up and do the same in a similar sized van that I've been making. Thanks for your post, it really does help us to understand what, where and how storage can happen on a trip. Seeing we've got 2 children to take too, it'll be interesting. How do you go in winter with the hybrid? We will be heading from SA in maybe a couple of months and likely going north to escape the cold.
@SarahandKeelanTravels2 жыл бұрын
No worries mate! Epic news that sounds really exciting you’ll love life on the road! We love the hybrid and it’s great for all seasons! We find when it gets cold we just wear trackies to bed haha that’s about as far as it goes! Havnt exactly had it down in tassie mid July though only had mild winter so far! But can’t complain!
@lifeofintention47112 жыл бұрын
@@SarahandKeelanTravels Trackies are the go 4 sure, I'm thinking life with 2 young children and living outside and getting enough individual time in winter might be a challenge. Will see how it all goes though, am pumped! Was thinking about your food storage, when you go off grid for a bit, do you have a crate or two or something with bulk potatoes, beef etc or something? Didn't see much food storage in the vid... or is this also in the vehicle a bit? Cheers

Hey team! Nice video! Do you guys have any issues with dust? Do you recommend a dust reduction system?
@SarahandKeelanTravels3 жыл бұрын
Hey Peter! We are currently on the gibb and would recommend a dust fan highly we can’t wait to get one! Hybrid van dust issues are real!

Great video guys thanks for sharing! I started watching your vids as you are 100% in saying there are hardly any online for these small hybrids. Just out of interest have you put your van over a weighbridge in your complete on the road config? I've got limited towing capacity and have been keenly looking at these small hybrids but hard to find any "real world" gross weight info and your setup looks like it can last you awhile on the road. Happy travels and keep the travel vids coming.
@SarahandKeelanTravels3 жыл бұрын
Hey nukem! That name reminds me of Duke nukem my favourite PC game when I was a kid! We have a limited towing capacity too and have weighed the van at 1.8t tare unloaded from factory and when we are loaded fully it’s around 2.5tonne and 240kg ball weight! The hybrids are heavy suckers and I hope this helps mate! Cheers
@nukem99043 жыл бұрын
@@SarahandKeelanTravels Thanks heaps for that info, legends! Lol, yep the Nukem name and nuke symbol is the old Duke all the way. loved that game:) Happy travels, stay safe out there.

Looks nice inside, I would buy one of these now 👍 one question, are you getting sick of setting up the bed and push out panels??
@SarahandKeelanTravels3 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate! to be honest no I'm not, it literally takes 1 minute to set it all up (fold the back and pop the top) if you do get on get a dust pressure fan installed asap. we are on the Gibb river road and are struggling with the dust ingress that's our only major issue with the van

What about the EMF and EMR coming from the battery and electronics under the bed? I would imagine they are low output given you sleep on them.. Another cool upload :)
@SarahandKeelanTravels3 жыл бұрын
Don’t really know much about EMF I understand the basic principle however don’t fully understand it. Thanks mate now you have given me something to think about now
@greghalliday42263 жыл бұрын
It's DC, so the EMF is fixed and only varying when different loads come on and offline. So unless you rollover in bed really fast, like 1000 rpm, it is unlikely to be an issue. If the inverter is under there it is a different story, but at 50/60 hz, still unlikely to excite your molecules to a concerning level.
@SarahandKeelanTravels3 жыл бұрын
Booom! I can roll over pretty dam quick but maybe not that quick haha 😂 The inverter is but we rarely sleep with it while it’s on! Thanks for the explanation
@brentmcd123 жыл бұрын
you should never tell people where you keep all your keys and stuff .. it is too accessible from the door if some stranger was attempting to have a quick look around . as I have heard the stories from up in sesia Cape York this is what is happening whislt you are sleeping / away from van apparently.. haha love the dialup modem / brainfart whatever you want to call it hahaha!!!

Hey guys great work so far. Love watching your vids and just subscribed! Quick questions, we’re thinking of doing a similar thing “posting vids on KZbin” after a 5month LSL trip with kids pre covid, we loved it but did not have a logo “brand”. I think it would be fun and give our trip more purpose. I made loads of edited vids on iMovie just for family purpose but thinking of doing a big trip and posting too. Q1: Did you register your logo anywhere or did you just design one on logomakr or similar? Second Q: how do you insert music into vids without having any copywriter issues? Happy for you to email me as this forum isn’t the best way to communicate. Much appreciated
@SarahandKeelanTravels3 жыл бұрын
Hey Ben! Thanks mate appreciate it mate! I’ll try be brief but hit all your points! Love your work mate with using the iMovie that’s all I use. No we havnt registered the logo however we have made Sarahkeelan travels how company name. Logo may change in the near future before we make merch and shirts ect.. we designed it on a free website have no idea what it’s called was too long ago! For copyright free music you can use the KZbin studio editor which has a massive library full of music you can download and use copyright free however if your just doing it for fun I wouldn’t worry as to get 1000 subs and 4000 watch hours on your channel takes ages and it’s a crap tonne of work! But if that’s the goal of becoming monetised then go for it. All these questions you can KZbin or google and you’ll get a way better answer than what I’ve given ya hahah I’m still learning and we are newbies! I hope this helps though mate! I love the fact you wanna give it a crack! That’s sick mate!
