The answer all depends on what kind of vehicle you're towing with and what kind of trailer you have behind you...... With most SUV's the mirror is of such a size that no additional mirror is needed to see beyond and behind the trailer however the same can not be said about cars..... I'd recommend not getting a trailer wider than your tow vehicle, but in the event you need to, Try to get a pop up trailer which has a lower profile and thus allows you to see beyond the trailer very easily.......

Yes, you do. A camera can support but does not replace mirrors
