Caravanning and Motorhoming in Europe : The days when we could travel!
Back in July 2019 we set off with our Adria caravan to tour Europe. We spent seven weeks touring from Holland and onwards to Sweden, via Germany and Denmark. We vlogged this trip in earlier videos but this final episode was never published. Having recently found it in the archives we decided that, whilst we may be restricted right now, it may inspire other in the future. If you are considering a trip to Europe in 2021 or 2022, here's what we discovered from our time touring. From the difference in campsites to buying food in the supermarkets...we cover most things you will need to know.

Good stuff. Happy New year you two. Don’t forget the oatcakes when you pick up your new motor home. Melt some cheese on them, under the grill. ( never microwave), bit of bacon and Red sauce. . Great informative video, thank you. I’m wanting to go to France and Germany . I’m familiar driving abroad but have never towed which has worried me a little, but watching this it has put my mind at rest a tad. Just hoping one day we ll be allowed out again 😁 . All the best Pete

Thanks for watching Pete, I really enjoyed towing over there, it was no problem. Many europeans were towing twin axle caravans between nine and eleven metres in length. They made our caravan look like a tiddler 😂 All the best for this year 😊 Karina

Some good advice there, I agree about the awning and not booking sites, just turn up, I managed to get away in between lockdowns and am on a site in Denia Spain, all the sites are still open in Spain, this one is quite busy with mainly Brits, Dutch and Spanish, anyone thinking of coming down here, you can travel quite freely through France and Spain if you are a tourist on foreign plates, there are are Motor homes and caravans coming and going here all the time and the weather is great

@@HereWeTow It's deffo worth doing, most sites here do a deal over winter, this site (Camping Los Pinos) works out at £340 a month including electric, and it's a glorious site, 2 minutes walk to the sea

Thanks for this. Really useful. It's odd as when we have been in France the pitches are normally a really good size much better than UK. We would like at some point to go maybe a different time of the year possibly to Netherlands as we aren't far away from North Shields ferry port. I just wish Lucy could get longer holidays as would go away most of the 6 week holidays.

Hello from Holland, i was asking myself what do you have for outsite curtain in front of your caravan window?

Hello Holland..our cover got a lot of attention in Europe. Its a towing cover, it protects the front from stone chips, damage, insects and muck when towing. They are very common here in the UK but our caravans do have big front windows which are probably more prone to damage. Nice to get an incite. Quite keen to try France in the next few years, but have heard that we may have to muzzle our rotti letti due to breed type while we’re in France even when just travelling though.

I found some sites did have stipulations about certain breeds but nothing related to GSD so Fudge was okay. There were plenty of dogs enjoying their holidays over there so don’t worry too much. The new pet scheme seems easy, no great changes apart from the health check. Enjoy your New Year and take care 😊🐾 Karina
