My heart was breaking for you both when talking about beautiful Sophie, extremely hard decision but at the end of the day you have to put Sophie first over emotion. Sophie had a great life and she loved and was loved. ❤

We travel with a Rottweiler we have traveled with her since she was 4 months old. She is amazing never barks unless someone is creeping around the van. And mainly sleeps at parks . The only issue we have is not being able to going out much but it is getting better in qld a lot of dog friendly pubs

Great video guys! We travel with two dogs and they love the different locations and used to love it in the car as well. Recently one of them has started to have panic attacks whilst travelling in the car. As soon as we are out of the car, she is back to normal. We now give her a calming treat and collar and one it kicks in, she is fine. Different story if we forget to give her her meds an hour before we set off. Long story short, we love travelling with our dogs and they love the different location and walks every two hours while travelling in the car

Travelling on and off with 2 boys, one has anxiety but there is medication for him when he gets really bad, also worked out they they travel much better in the back of the car rather than the back seat. He's completely relaxed back there

Another great video, it’s been a big question we’ve asked ourselves planning for our big lap. Our husky has always traveled everywhere with us and loves caravanning, but just not sure how much we’d miss out on seeing taking her with us.

Travelled the Gibb with our dog about a month before you. I have an OutFox instead of a muzzle for our dog. It is a flyscreen bonnet which protected her from eating anything she shouldn't. She doesn't mind wearing it at all. Find travelling with a dog is a great conversation starter

Hey guys 😊 Great vid as always, you both always put a smile on my face ❤ Not sure about Bobs breed, but if you are looking for some kind of muzzel, Puss n Pooch sell something called a Field Guard Head Sheild from Outfox. Its like a thick, structured mesh to prevent injuries from grass seeds originally, but also great for protecting dogs from flies, sun and helping to prevent scavenging and eating bait (not fool proof though, could still lick it, just not swallow any). Got one for my girl, easy to use, still working on getting her used to it. But might be worth a look (if you havent already) and see if it would suit him 💙🐾 Enjoy the Gibb!

Great video, it is such a challenge with dogs and has stopped us travelling to a few places. Shame that dogs can't go to a lot of places but makes you wonder if everyone was responsible if we would have more options.

Love, love, LOVED this Ep, having a dog ourselves we found this very informative. We have a mini labradoodle who has come on all our long and short trips, and in a year we plan to take a year or two out and do the lap, he will be coming with us. We are in WA so are well aware of the restrictions here 🙄 it’s very frustrating at times, but didn’t realise the other states and territories were a bit more relaxed, thank goodness. BTW we’d happily do a dog share with you guys or any other dog families we meet along the way. 😊

Leptospirosis australis is the vaccination when your traveling in the top end of Australia- you mentioned that it is only needed for Queensland, it is needed in all area of the top end including WA and NT as it is a tropical diseases. Another vaccination you need to be aware of is Parvovirus as they are found only in some area of Australia.
