Sir you already answered the first homework question😅(why hyperuricemia occurs in G6PD deficiency?) Ans. At 2:30:30 while explaining Von Gierkes disease 3:12:16 2.) why alcohol intake causes hypoglycemia? Ans. Sir beacuae in alcohol metabolism, it is oxidised first to aldehyde and then to its respective carboxylic Acid. These reactions require NAD to be converted to NADH. This NADH then causes the conversion of Various TCA cycle intermediates to other compounds. Hence, there is a blockage in TCA cycle and this decreases the glucose breakdown via feedback mechanisms and hypoglycemia occurs.
