I started out with the umx timber then advanced to the carbon cub, now i build all my airplanes out of foam board from the dollar store!I highly recommend the little umx airplanes for beginners, small enough to fly in most back yards and super stable. Master that then spend a few hours on a NASA website studying airfoil designs and build your own!!!!👍👍👍

Nice video and good flying. I noticed the gal said something about the wall. Is this referring to the fence that is built into the GPS system if you add it on? I plan on buying one of these shortly and thought the GPS would be good since I am an absolute beginner. Thanks, Rich

Can’t tell you how many times I’ve tried rc planes (and one heli) every time ended in failure. I’m ready to give it another go. the safe technology they put in these is very useful and something they didn’t have when I first got into it.

Just flew mine for the first time today. It is only the second RC plane I have ever flown in my life. (First plane was an XK A800 glider) First flight was perfect. Second flight OK except for a low and slow tip stall. Clearly my fault. Did a couple practice take offs and landings after that. Brought the plane home and after a small bit of gluing. We are ready to go again. Can't wait. I need to follow my own advice. Fly 3 mistakes high! ;-) Next flight however, I think I am going to either disable the GPS or, shut off the air fence. Not sure I need it. I find it annoying when I hit the air fence limit. Good tip on right stick to low wing when coming at you. Thank you Brian Chambers
@harpoon_bakery1625 жыл бұрын
what does right stick to low wing mean exactly? (sorry, just a noob beginner). when it's coming at me, wings level, which is the low wing?
@captainbob4065 жыл бұрын
if plane is coming back at you and wings are level you do not have a low wing. If the plane is flying toward you and right wing is low, move stick to the right to correct and relevel the wing. gott it?

what about the apprectance? the new STS 1.5M smart trainer. which of the two would you highly suggest?

@@harpoon_bakery162 both are good trainers . But i would stick with the cub. Its cheaper and has a longer track record in the previous version of the sport cub s2. Either bird is good but the apprentice has more expensive baterries.

Unless you are a SIM freak or practiced before it just isn't possible to fly like this on this low altitude. I can see you have total control on this plane so near to the ground. The right reaction on the critical moments. No way this is your first flight ever. Maybe you are a born ace but I just don't believe it. Even taxiing this little sportscub on the grass is hard to do. A beginner just can't feal the point where it wants to take off and has to cut the power in order to keep it on the ground. You have practiced before...
@EJ-744 жыл бұрын
I had never flew in my life I taxed around a few times no where near as much as this guy then took off went up about 150 200 foot did a loop went around about a foot ball field sevral times and had a decent landing first time I ever flew I had a very good understanding of the controls I think this guy may of had a good understanding like I did That taxing was sick though for a first timer LOL ✌️
@redrockitinerant77764 жыл бұрын
Obviously flown before, perhaps in a sim if not another type of plane, and this might be his first flight with this plane. If this is his first flight ever, which he didn't say, then he has flown a bunch in a sim, which can get you to this point on a first flight.
@EJ-744 жыл бұрын
@@redrockitinerant7776 I had never flew anything not even a sim and I done very well even pulled off a decent loop which isn't very hard to do So yes it is possible he never flew anything before The plane he is flying fly's very well it has stabilization - self leveling mode so it almost fly's it's self The plane I was flying was a trainer over 15yrs ago it didn't have any stabilization - self leveling only dihedral in the wings which does help it self level somewhat ✌️
