Great job adding flaps - they are fun. Once I wore out the original ESC, I took out the GPS and the big Flight controller. Added a basic 6 channel Spektrum receiver and a 40 amp ESC. Now you can use 4S 2200 battery with the same motor. It will hover and do a lot more. The Beginner modes were great when I first got it to re-learn to fly. Now it does knife edge all the way down the field.

@@mdoutdoors.8481 if you allow me to do just a little criticism. I think that these planes are much too expensive since the Covid pandemic... I take as an example the F959 from WLToys the price was 45€ and currently it is 90€ + or -. I visited sites where the plane is sold and I find this plane very interesting if its options work normally. Does the "Auto Land" "Safe Plus" and "Virtual Fence" function work well?

I learned real quick that the Carbon Cub S2 is not a stunt plane. Not saying you can't do an occasional loop or roll, but I crashed mine one evening. I was doing quite a bit of aerobatics and it nose spiraled to the ground. I switched it to safe seconds before impact and I think it saved it from a complete loss. When I got to the plane, one of the wing struts was jammed in the aileron servo linkage. Crazy

So I bought this plane and real flight in the sale they had a couple weeks ago. I have only started the game so far. What do you mean when you say high rates and low rates?
@mdoutdoors.84812 жыл бұрын
I'm talking about on high rates the ailerons, elevator, and rudder have more travel up and down left and right and on low rates they don't move as much. Low rates is better for beginners though

@mdoutdoors.84812 жыл бұрын
@@rctrucks2094 i like it. It’s definitely interesting with the short wings but it also has a long wing chord. If you have the flap elevator mix correct then it’s not too bad at stalling but it definitely will bite you if your not careful. Your Probobly better off getting the mamba if your wanting to do aerobatics, I love biplanes for stunts. Only reason I got the timber is cause I like stol too

Sure wish someone on KZbin would do a detailed video on how the GPS, Airfield Geo Fence and landing assist (all of which are optional purchased) work! Absolutely no one addresses this. Everyone says the plane doesn't need it or is too complicated to figure out. Well c'mon people some of us coming from drones with simple to use RTH functions REALLY could use this feature for assurance.
