I love that you are open about how you're discovering and finding the project as you go along. This openness in combination with your skill-set is very inspiring to me.

Really like the idea of wrapping 3d printed parts in CF! Someone taught me a neat trick once, by wetting out the carbon material on a plastic masking sheet(the type used by spray painters, very thin) and then placing another layer of the plastic on top,in essence making a pre-preg.It is then easy to cut your shape without distorting the weave, you can then peel off one side place on your tacky surface pressing air out to the sides and then removing the last layer of plastic, this helped me so i thought i would mention:)

Agreed, that type of method can be helpful at times, though I do still prefer the stabilized fabric.

Yes the quality of fabric used on the pro finish is good,i think they use a 240g twill instead of the 200g which tends to gets sold as the standard dry untreated carbon, although you can buy it the 240g it is very expensive, £30 a l/mt. here in UK which is a bit too expensive for me.Look forward to your projects in 2020!

Awesome. I think that if you continued the tree trunks downward, it would make a great base and look like it is and island and even has a reflection.

I agree about getting the first version done quickly to learn what to change on the next one. I call them UFPs (Ugly Functional Prototypes)

Merry Christmas Lindy! BTW Interesting work Lindy, excellent workmanship, if you have heard the mandalorian you should consider making the armor, you definitely have the tools and skill to do it, and there are plenty of free templates on www.mandalorianmercs.com

Thanks for the suggestion. Armor builds do tend to be crazy time intensive though.

@@LindyDesignLab depends on the tools and materials. sinter and a dremel work well together
